Help a Beginner?

Hi, I'm a 150 pound, 5 foot 10 inch, 16 year-old tennis player. Finally having figured out I couldn't considerably improve past a certain point without a some degree of weight training. I've started a whole body routine (as I'm generally out of shape,) but I think I'd greatly benefit from grip strength, and I'd like to get to a point where no ball would phase my grip, certainly nothing as phenomenal as what I've seen from the regulars of this board. If anyone could recommend a very beginner routine, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

well, i know absolutely nothin about tennis, but here's a few things that might help you out.  first, throw in some thick bar work.  this will help you hold on to the raquet better.  some kind of grip endurance work with a thick bar should work well.  strong wrists are also important, so do some kind of levering.  add some crush and pinch work, and you should be headin in the right direction.

I play tennis a lot (3 hours a day) in the summertime.

Work with a COC gripper for 2-3 sets of high reps, like 15-20 reps. Also do some wrist curls for 15-20 reps.
