Gary Brown
I realize this is an old thread and difficulty changes so here is what I know as of 2013. Vegas brand is the toughest I ever did. Never had Dolphins Paulson Carti Mundi are very easy Gemico Aristacrat are fairly tough Bicycles from Costco seem to flex a lot making them very difficult to start Other bikes seem easier and Jumbo face seem easier than those. Can't find Vegas brand anymore

EricMilfeld
That's very interesting that after all this time the Vegas still holds up as perhaps the toughest. I haven't done cards in a long time, but now I want to see if I can still find the Vegas cards. Thanks for the update, Gary. It's been said before, but this is a good example of the wisdom in buying a truckload of anything you think might possibly be unique or special (nails, horseshoes, cards, wrenches, etc...). temmmeeee
Vegas brand are still, based of off my experience, at the top of the food chain. They don't make them anymore but I managed to snag a handful on ebay and etsy over the last number months after coming across this thread and a couple others. They have different kinds though that were made during different times. The ones from ohio are still tougher than any regularly produced brands I've tried (bees, mavericks, aristocrats, bikes, hoyles, etc). The ones from Michigan are A LOT tougher and I finally managed to get through a deck today which is why I'm posting to this old thread to confirm Vegas brand regardless are NASTY. There's a 3rd kind that I only have 2 of that are from Ohio that say "feels like paper - 100% plastic". Those I may try in the future but I'm not sure how humanly possible they are.

Ive never tried them. But caesars palace cards seem to be constantly difficult based on talking to folks who tear regularly. Never tried vegas. For me. Bicycles are always tough, aces are tough simply because they are sharp. Ive torn through 100% plastic as well. Took me 5hrs of near constant attempts to finally get it. However Scott Vincent did a full deck in 1 hour. Scott has also torn bikes in the wrapper, chunked a deck of mavricks into 16 pieces and I believe did 10 or 12 chunked pieces on bikes. The dude is a monster tearer.

I couldn't remember what they were though and don't know if I'd wanna be man enough to even attempt them. Scott is the king IMO. Mind-boggling , other-worldly ish

But he is what I call a power tearer. Where as Chris rider is a finesse/power tearer because he can do notching, verticals etc. scott doesnt play that notching stuff lol
