honk
Sun is shining so I did a bit of cycling, not a good idea, I gave up freeriding/downhilling three years ago, and barely sat on a bike since than. So I smacked a pedal in my left shin and got a nice cut. I'm finally old enough to see the benefits of taking care of such a cut. Well I drove off to the only pharmacy that's open on sunday and guess what, they didn't have those special plasters to tape cuts together... I don't mind, cause I really appreciate irony. honk
4/23/2007 1 Armed Chins 12 singles each arm @ 32.5kg deload DO Deads 13 singles @ 95kg Strict Press 12 singles @ 42.5kg DO Deads 12 singles @ 95kg Felt a bit weak so I used an olybar for dead and presses. I was really lucky with that cut, the bar doesn't touch it when I deadlift.

FrankyBoy
Thanks for asking. No big improvement though I still work on it frequently. Bending the legs below a certain point is painful (combined with a nice crack sometimes) which forbids squats and deads. No MGC for me. lifesnotfair
Funny! I never noticed you were german. And here I was asking myself "why the heck are these guys typing in a foreign language???"... What has your max 2HP has been, previous to this rafter hang? Is there a carryover?
honk
2 or 3 weeks back was my last pinch session, I think a failed at 50kg again, but my Europinch isn't that seasoned yet, and the edges are so shrap that I loose skin on alomost every rep. (rounded the edges a bit in the meantime) I guess 1 armed chins teached me to generate tension, and DO axle deads might have increased my handstrength. But 2 hand pinch must have very high carryover to rafter work, my guess is that most guys lack the ability to generate enaugh tension and inward pressure. Climbers and gymnasts pull these off rather easily and I don't think it's only because they are so skinny. lifesnotfair
It's an interesting subject, the carryover between 2HP and rafters, I thought one would need to be able to 2HP your own BW to hang from rafters.
honk
Forgot to mention that I did a gripperworkout on the 23rd. Warmup: #T x bunch each hand RB 180N x 1 each hand (no set) no set work: RB 210N 3mm R, 5mm L RB 210N 3mm R, 5mm L MMS: RB 210N 1xR, maybe closed lefty RB 160 1mm R, 5mm L RB 160 1XR, 5mm L I hope to cert on a RB 210N at the MGC, and to close a #2 at the competition. My RB 210N is like a #1.75 and my RB 160 like a very easy #2. I will replace DO axle deads with Axle Rackpulls and holds. 95kg is close to my max on my axle, so I have to pull slowly and that really screws up my form. Just because I got asked: I log all my gripwork here, it's just axle and wirstdeveloper for now.
honk
My current plan in detail: I train every other day. 25 singles deads, 12 singles strict presses, and 12 Singles pullups/chins load: week 1 70% of 1RM week 2 70% +2.5kg for chins and presses, +5kg for deads week 3 70% +5kg for chins and presses, +10kg for deads week 4 70% +7.5kg for chins and presses, +15kg for deads Maybe I add a 5th week with negatives and rackpulls. I'm in week 2 now.
honk
4/27/2005 DO Deads 20 singles @ 95kg Strict Press With Axle 12 singles @ 42.5kg 1 Armed Chins 12 singles each arm @ 32.5kg deload Deads were kinda hard, but my form is getting better and the first few pulls were really easy. My weekly deadlift volume has increased by 400% so I guess it's quite normal that some lifts were a bit harder. Presses felt very strong as on wednesday, I hope for a 57,5kg or 60kg press in two or three weeks. Chins were also solid, did some straddled frontleverpulls inbetween. Axle holds, wristdeveloper work and some bending isos tomorrow. Edited April 28, 2007 by honk

honk
5/3/2005 DO Deads 20 singles @ 100kg (with belt) Strict Press With Axle 12 to 15 singles @ 45kg, lost count... 1 Armed Pullups 12 singles each arm @ 30kg deload Tried to no set my RB 210N, close but not yet. Did a few fast no set singles with the RB 180N instead. Inbetween Pullups, I tried to do a controlled negtive one arm chin without deload, could do it righty not quite lefty. And I got humbled trying a backlever with 30kg deload, who came up with the idea that these are easier than frontlevers? Axle holds either in the evening or tomorrow.
