David Horne
As requested by a few I'll post all our results for the following year here. Starting with last nights win against Milton Keynes Armwrestling team. Their team have some good strong internationally experienced pullers. jimwylie1
Watching the video back of me against Kirlew it seems like everything was in slow motion. His hit felt a hell of a lot faster than it looks in those videos .
David Horne
Jim, As I said he's a vg armwrestler, 4th in the recent World Champs in South Africa. But it's good you're watching it to see what you did wrong, quite a few things on the set up are not good as you know. Anyway, first of many comps this year. Too Tall
David, do you use the top roll technique, or the shoulder roll mostly? I guess it depends huh. Nice videos My dad was the United States champion back in the late 70's early 80's. He was on the team with Cleave Dean, Johnny Walker, Burt Whitfield, Steve Stannaway, and the rest of that gang from the US. Good luck this year Chad Woodall

David Horne
Chad, I used to Top Roll mostly, but now I hook or Hook Drag. But I will use whatever technique I think will best work against the particular opponent I am facing. Also I will maybe change in mid wrestle, such as going inside from a Top Roll, or whatever. That's very cool about your dad, have you taken to arm wrestling? David
Too Tall
David, I play around with arm wrestling with my friends...but nothing real serious. In my free time I mostly train on grip related feats that I am trying to accomplish. I did strongman for a year or so, but I had to quit because of different issues. I only do grip now. Thanks for the reply, Chad Woodall

David Horne
ENTER THE LIONS DEN at THE POTTERIES SHOPPING CENTRE, HANLEY / SATURDAY FEBRUARY 26TH This Pro contest had 5 classes, with a Round Robin being used, ie. everyone armwrestles everyone. LEFT HAND CLASS 10 competitors in this class, all between 100kg-130kg, that's 9 armwrestles! I was joint first, winning 8 and losing 1 bout (which was a over-a-minute bout!). I think Jim Wylie came 4th in this class. I will post the results when I get them. We videod most of it. FRESH BLOOD CLASS 8 competitors in this class. A big step up for Oliver Horne here, as there were some very good beginners here mixed with seasoned a/w who had placings in the British, etc. Anyway, he lost all his bouts. FRESH BLOOD CLASS 2 8 competitors in this class. Richard Scott's first bout was a win, then he had a massive war next which he could have won. After this his arm was just too pumped and he lost all the others. All in all, a great fun day!! Videos to follow, David

David Horne
Day 1 of the Seni exhibition 23/04/2005 Here is Alexander Horne (on the left side) winning the final match, in a group of 5 in the British Junior (11-13) armwrestling champs at the Seni martial arts exhibition. http://www.gripboard.com/index.php?act=mod...cmd=si&img=2241 Oliver Horne won the 75k-90k British Novice Champs, in a very hard stacked class and weighing in at 78k! He top rolled through 4 opponents to win in the final against an opponent who had anihalated him in a contest only 2 months ago. Hats off to him! Richard Scott lost twice in the under 75k British Novice Champs. Not a good performance by him today he just wasn't firing. Mick Gooch a specialist in one finger press ups did a most impressive exhibition in the half-time slot. Doing about 35 one finger press ups on a coconut! Also various one finger press ups on the top of a beer bottle and a 6" nail hammered into a board!! He's a nice guy and I'm going to help him out tomorrow with photos and stuff. Also girls posing in between the a/w. http://www.gripboard.com/index.php?act=mod...cmd=si&img=2242 Tomorrow I'm back there where I will be in the Dog Eat Dog Pro class, and Jim Wylie will be in the Heavyweight class.
