Tylerm
The steel I used for my first bends was labelled 'PLAT STL', which another board member verified was zinc plated steel. He mentioned that this should be harder to bend than HRS, anyone have any figures on it? I used 3/16" round and square stock that was all labelled 'PLAT STL'. Any info appreciated! No One can predict the strength of any steel based on type, plating or anything else. All you can do is test it yourself or rate it by comparison to other stuff the same size that you have done. Probably not what you wanted for an answer but that's my 2 cents.
Clay Edgin
Most of the plated steel I've tried is as hard or slightly harder than CRS of the same dimensions.
