Frankyboy,

Are we including the weight of the pin and handle in the challenge? I dont care either way, but if we do, whats the weight gonna be?

it didn't count the weight of the handle or loading pin.

The 60kgs I lifted with Clays Rolling Handle was plates only.

So I'm going for 132lbs +15lbs = 147lbs plates only.

Gotcha. Mine included 5lbs for the pin and handle. I'll go ahead and change mine to 195 :inno as 15lbs should be a challenge enough, let alone 20. Gonna post here the thickbar work only. The only thing else I've been doing is some wrist work and G-Rex anyhow.

What's about your HIUI training? Do you do that at the moment to progress in fatbar?

Not yet, first the Blob, Blue and GM noset.

Then I include Fat bar and try to at least keep the level in the other disciplines.

A little bit of Pinch & vbar.

Worked up to 27.5 lefty and 37.5 kg righty on my 70mm Pinch Grip Block.

Vbar: 100kg w/ right.

Made no fun to grab the vbar after the pinch workout.

Guess I do some benidng instead.

Yesterday I met with some grip buddies and tested three of my current challenges.

The good news:

Two of these challenges are over now.

I lifted the Blob50 (PR) and bent an Ironmind Blue Nail.

Martin Kotte reached his goal too, so I only won one of these two challenges.

I couldn't no-set close the Grandmaster though, so this race against Ben is still on. :yikes

I 2-hand plate pinched 75kg (165#) and got some air (~4") under 77.5kg (171#). New PRs.

During a meeting yesterday I lifted on the LGC vbar:

126.6 kg (279#) w/ my right and 119.1 kg (262#) w/ my left.

Total: 245.7kg (541#)

PRs for my right and in total.

I missed the RB330N by about 1/16 PR

It took me a little time to find this challenge log! :D But finally......

Yesterday Frank and I decided to do some challenges!

1. 75kg dumbell deadlift with 75kg on a 60mm handle (we have absolutely the same dumbell!)

2. Blob50 deadlift lefty (righty is not fair because Franky can break it off the ground and had already deadlifted it but lefty we're on the same level I think. BTW my right thumb still hurts a bit and I don't want to do a race with an injury...)

3. absolutely not grip related:

Franky: 220kg double overhand deadlift (with straps)

Burki: 20x120kg squats

If I remember correctly the price for taking the win is ONE bottle of beer for each challenge! :D

I hope to get 2 bottles minimum.... :kiss

One tip, increase the weight with 2,5kg or less... Otherwise you will burn out before you reach 100kg ;)

Blobette Training

Lifting the Blobette to a 50cm high platform, a bit harder than a normal deadlift.

Weights are totals

16,5kg 0xL (45cm), 1xR

16,5kg 0xL (45cm)

17kg 0xL (0cm), 1xR

I guess that around 21kg are enough for a safe DL of the Blob50.

One tip, increase the weight with 2,5kg or less... Otherwise you will burn out before you reach 100kg ;)

I'll train 3-4 times a week (one 20 rep set) and I'll try to increase the weigth whenever possible for 2,5kg. More weight is too much - You're definitely right.

Yesterday I did squats before breakfast and I started puking a little bit after the set - so it was not easy for the body and I was happy that I've done it on an empty stomach....

If I do them I do only 2 squat sessions a week can't handle more.

Yes, I try to increase the weight every workout by 2,5kg - time will tell when the body gives up! :whistel
