John Beatty
Guys- Bought a 5lb box of 40D 5" "brights". It has concrete nailing instructions on the side. I don't think they're concrete nails, just think it's a standard print for the box. The odd thing is I bought some 60D pole barn nails 6" & they're quite a bit easier. They actually look a bit smaller in diameter, too. Anyone else have this happen?
GarytheDino
The 60d polebarn nails I have seen are really small in diameter and snap easy. They are easier than timber ties.
SqeezeMasterFlash
Pole barn nails are much smaller in diameter than a true 60d. I'm not sure what's in the middle of them, but they never bend, they always break.
John Beatty
Mine snapped just past 90. I've only got to complete one bend & that was doing the crushdown very slowly. Mainly due to the ring shank I think. Breaks at the stamping.
