It seems LGC XII will be moved forward in time from December to January. I expect the European v-bar champion Johan Albrektsson to dominate the v-bar event and setting a new Swedish record if he has an ON day. He will be one of the top guys in the v-bar for next year. He pulled 150k with ease in the 2004 Europeans and got some air under 160k as well.

Apparently, the weights were not calibrated David Hurzeler just told me. He is going to weigh them so the results may change. Stayed tuned. I will not increase the weights though, even if it turns out that the plates were heavier than thought. For Worlds Records (as recognised by the founders of this event in its present form) and this list, the plates have to be calibrated (i.e., weighed on an accurate scale) and weigh at least as much as is indicated. For example, 150k on the LGC set up is actually 151k, but we only count 150k. World record attempts have to be performed using pre-calibrated weights, weighing at least as much as is indicated.

Mikael,

How about a Top 10/20 on the One Hand Lift and Two Hands Pinch Lift.

David

You want another one on the pinch? :blink

What was wrong with the first one? :shifty

I will do the One Hand Lift as well.

Weights weighed and found to be accurate. No change to the record list.

Thanks David.

In case people are wondering why the v-bar list has not been updated.

I am waiting for the result of the calibration of the scale/weights used at the 2005 GGC in the pinch and the v-bar, so that the 2005 GGC results conform with those set in European contests, where we use certified scales/weights.
