  1. Being a bit sceptical about numbers in training progress (all my grippers are not calibrated), I went for a search for dynamometr and find out that they either expensive or doesnt fit my requirements or just crappy quality. So I took advantage of my jobsite possibilities and combined best of them all imo: durability, price and required dimensions. There are few cons like scales doesnt lock max weight and slippery handles (going to sand blast them). But otherwise works perfect.

  3. Inch trainer RH - 2x1 71.4kg/157.4lb level lift This is probably my first time lifting it above 70kg, and it wasn't tilted at all. I've tried a third set as well, but I couldn't do it. Based on my experience, I can get quite a few near-max pinch attempts in one session, but there are not many chances with one-handed thick bar. 2-3, and then byebye, try it again another day. - 2x1 68.9kg/151.9lb level lift, 2-sec hold on top - 1x1 68.9kg/151.9lb slight tilt lift - 3x1 66.4kg/146.4lb level lift, 2-sec hold - 1x4 61.4kg/135.4lb level lift LH - 4x1 66.4kg/146.4lb level lift, 3-sec hold on top - 3x1 66.4kg/146.4lb level lift - 1x1 66.4kg/146.4lb tilt lift - 1x3 61.4kg/135.4lb level lift Both hands this week, because I'm not doing blobs this week (skin on RH thumb needs to heal).

  4. Pull Squat Grip Steel Shred Day (was yesterday, and again with consolidating workouts on Friday) Strange workout that makes no sense in a vacuum but largely hit everything that had to be hit when I could do it! Paid lip service to warmups then 3 sets of 5 per side 32kg kb squats in rack position. Then it was onto my final attempt for Steel Shredder 12 which ends today! Four painted red nails was the attempt, but alas they didn’t move and the after pic looked the same as the before pic. Thigh crush only is a style I have little experience with and not much innate skill at, so that’s not exactly a winning combination but earlier in the contest I still managed 3 red painted nails in a nice time. There were also white painted nails that were easier but when I tried 4 at once early in the contest it failed and by the end of the contest when I had more experience I didn’t have enough white nails left so the four red attempt was the only option even if it was somewhat of a hero attempt. But I still had to go for it, sometimes the hero attempt makes you a hero!!! Just not this time Then it was wagon wheel deadlifts supersetted with stone trainer RDLs. Worked up to around 420 pounds and green and red band which also translated to 5 or 6 sets on stone trainer. Next up was assorted lifts with assorted crushers. I had the 2.25” on a short pin and was switching between 2.5” and 2.75” on normal pin. There was 50kg in plates on short pin and 40kg in plates on normal pin and it was just untracked mayhem of lifts, rows, and holds. Workout largely went full circle as I wrapped it up with bottoms up 24kg kb squats. Usually it was in 3s but managed to nail an unbroken set of 5/side with a smooth transfer!!! If you’re interested in a coherent well structured workout such as this, sign up now only 3 spots left

  6. It's not "a" grip feat but I'm not as impressed by any single feat as I am with dominating something like a giant "Medley" that includes a number of what are "stand alone" highly impressive grip feats done non stop in a short time frame. Many include many feats that would be World Class by themselves. I can only imagine the Medley it would take to stop someone like Carl.

FLASK +35, +45, +50, +55/ 1 BH +60/ 1 LH, cracked off of the floor RH +62.5/ 1 LH +65/ cracked off of the floor LH LH +55/ 6x5 RH +47.5/ 6x5 2-H TTK 3x20/ 16.25 SS 2 3/8” DB wrist curls 3x15/ 52.5…these are like the Jedd Johnson WC demonstrated on his Inch DB video The plan is to build a large base and try to peak it out. Going to use 4 week mini cycles and then rest, then repeat. I’ll try to cut volume and add intensity as I go. Have a great day.

  9. yes I find the same. My pinch can be off a way higher percentage week to week. Would be smart. You bend at a way higher level than I was, but even at the snails pace I was going it really really affected things. I miss it and can’t wait to return but for now I’m focused on the inch. Perhaps throw some thumbless in for wrist strength? when you finally get one and start doing level negs I think it would really benefit you.

  10. Yes, exactly. The good thing though is that it's much more consistent than pinch. At least for me. Can't wait! If I hit a plateau, I might give up bending for 1-2 months because even one DU session/week is slowing down things a lot.

  11. I know the feeling, its pretty frustrating. Theres a short window with thick bar. Getting closer to the inch.

  14. Yeah...like nailing every single item at the 2024 North American Grip Sport Championships in June. That would be mind blowing for me to see. Looking at the list, I could maybe hit 20% of the items under absolutely ideal circumstances...but not at the end of a grueling two day comp. Will be a fun one to watch.

  15. In that boat now. Makes it even harder as I’m 54 not 24, like may of the guys I wrestle. I’ve been told after several months to a year (lol) that goes away. It’s no surprise all the pros have stem cell, etc treatments

  16. Volume Bending Day (yesterday) Bends themselves were straightforward, 4 Bastards and 4 shinys. More importantly than the bends themselves, I did two of each on video call with Derek and got some technique coaching and a programming plan for the 6.5” Horrido 10.9 cert!!!

  17. Thank you for the advice! Yeah , I plan to do these maximum attempt training to the point where I keep getting gains but if I reach a plateau then I plan to switch to a different method of training. ...Otherwise, there are more efficient and better ways to get stronger, in my personal experience..... What do you recommend for more efficient and better ways to get stronger ?

  18. Spent most of the late afternoon & early evening cleaning out my under house storage. I’m thinking of making myself a grip cave. The only issue I have with my garage is the limited space to do any exercise I have to move stuff around. I thought if I sort out a grip den then I can leave stuff just laying around with any problems like falling over kit . Another reason is I can fill the new space with grip kit lol. I’ll get some pics tomorrow.

  19. My last training sessions included high volume with hg300. For example, 25 parallel closes during 10 minutes. Next session I was able to accomplish 30 closes. And last session - 35 closes. Then, after 3 days rest I closed my hard 77 mm CoC#3 by DS again. And tried SG Cobalt (non calibrated) attempt. CoC#3 DS closed. SG Cobalt attempt DS

  20. I would say Andrew is dead-on re: crusher. What I've told people is a good proxy for an Inch lift(depending on what they're using to train): WW: 100+ Crusher 172+ Axle: 210 1H to knee height RT: too much variability, depending on the age of the RT. Would have to try a brand-knew one to get an idea.
