  6. Thanks, coach programmed 6 reps in as many sets needed And cubic yard is how they're sold here. This flow chart might help. Technically a volume but I think if you look under distance/not height/not long/for work it fits!

  8. DO - Grade 8 bolt bent in single IMP's today, easy as it was first time I did it. Failed to do it last workout. DO - two hits on 207k bar, one in singles and one in doubles, only moved it a few degrees. it's either harder than the red nail or I just need more rest. It's probably a fatigue issue. Should rest and bend some easier bars instead for technique. Reverse - Grade 5 166k in suedes touching, got it to 31 degrees. Which was more than expected. Also did 7x180 mm with suedes touching and bent it to 60 degrees. Reverse felt strong today but DO weaker. Strange how they don't don't seem to affect each other at all. Finished with some reps with the WD2.

  9. Apollon deadlift with straps 88x5 128x3 168x2 208x1 238x1@9 213×5 @10 Change to normal bar mixed grip: 215x5x4 Slow Bench 50x5x5 LTE + flyes 20/7 5x3 Grippers RH: #1.5 #2.5 #3 #3.5 0 0 0 #3 no set attempt Fk thought I closed the #3.5 2 of my 3 attempts. Close but no banana. Tried my max deadlift with axle. Well that wont be a problem 250+ with straps wouldn't be a problem. So only a better grip needed.

  10. Tired of being so skinny (74k) so I decided to see what I can do in the 83k class. My best ever in training on this axle set up was 139k while weighing 74k. It's 150k on the bar and my body weight that day was 82k.

  11. Yes, what plate should be considered world class though? I've only seen two people plate curling a 20 kg/45 lbs plate. Adam Glass and Nathan Holle.... Seems like 15 kg/35 lbs should be considered very strong?

  15. I don't see a lot of people trying the brick stack lift like Herman Görner was great at. Ironmind actually makes an implement called "The stacker" or something like that. However I don't think I've ever seen anyone using it. I've been curious about this strength feat for a while. Going to try it if I can find some cheap bricks.

  17. Finally had time for a real workout. Bench: W/bands (70lb off at bottom & slack at top): worked up to a single with 375 using slingshot. Then dropped to 315, ditched the slanger and did 2 sets of 4. No bands: close grip: 185 x 10. Regular grip: 135 x 20 with 3 second pause. Then supersey 135 lb barbell rows superset with band press downs. 5 sets of 10 each. Used different width grips on each set of rows. Finished up with band curl drop set. Destroyed.

  19. Yea, it's just an extremely hard move for me. Strangely doesn't niggle my shoulders like bench though. I do them, but I rarely see any gains in weight on the bar.

  21. Welcome aboard David and Aaron! I’m gonna have to modify my goal, since I’m cutting a little weight. 350 weighing in the low 230s sounds about right. Of course no whiskey.

  23. Wednesday- Wrist Wrench - PR attempt 61.4 Braced Bend - 1/2" x 19" in 1:28 Braced Snap - 3x8"x15" in 5:11 HR156 Technically a .9lb PR on the WW My short fingers will forever haunt me with this lift, but I will get stronger on it. 1lb per cycle is a few pounds per year which I'll take. I think I'm pacing my snaps too much. Whenever I just let it rip the bar snaps within a minute. I'm in better shape now than when I was in 2018, by a lot, and i need to let loose and not worry about the gas tank.

  29. One thing that I learned from watching @Stanley sallee was how to wrap IMPs. I copied his technique and noticed it made the pads much tighter and stiffer. Make marks on the nail so you know the center of the nail and how deep you want the nail into the pads. Lay the nail so that it goes across the full length of the pad. When you roll up the pad you should be able to see the end of the nail. This will allow you to wrap extremely tightly. Put on bands. Pull the nail out of the wrap until you can see your depth mark. Repeat the same technique on the other side of the nail. Give it a try and see if it makes a difference for you.
