Your memory is not your friend returning after a lay off. Don’t set up your sessions remembering what you used to do. You can come back stronger than ever before if you will return to being a beginner and building up. Start slow now to go fast later. Go fast now go no where soon2 points

Awesome rows. Seriously. Im gonna have to drop in on a gym that has big DBs. My gym only goes to 100. I attempted some 2 3/8 rows but I really felt they sucked ass, only the best for the ladies amirite?. Especially after poking fun at people yesterday Theres a saying from Feudal Japan that goes “Do not go to a sword fight with a pool noodle” Need to find a sword. Pronto.1 point

Here is one from almost exactly 3yrs ago. I was about 230ish here. 130x12 all reps briefly paused at the top. During this time I could do over 25 reps with the 130's when done with no pause and a quicker tempo. According to my notes in the vid I did these after deadlifts and high rows. Already pre exhausted.1 point

That is very impressive! I have read your log so I know you are very strong but that was excellent. As far as being frowned upon.. I wear PJ bottoms quite often in my vids:)1 point

A mirror is a great training tool, it got me from the GHP 6 to the GHP 9 in a single session, highly recommended.1 point

Nice demonstration. This is an interesting study. In the set position, the handle that the four fingers wrap around (while the opposing handle is sat in the palm), is farther away from the fingers in the left hand than the right hand with regular wound grippers. When the hand is cupped to create a pocket for the handle to sit in the for the ideal set, the fingers almost have to reach over the handle pulling it inward diagonally to the other handle that is mounted in the palm to get to the closed position. The intermediate phalanges of the left hand are moving the handle diagonally to the other handle as opposed to a more straight path with the right hand. The ring and pinky fingers have to drive over the handle the most making the mechanics of the close for the left hand less ideal than the right hand which compromises the line of close. * Causing the handles to slightly cross over one another when closed increasing the range of motion. *just my observation, would like to hear more opinions1 point

I never got into pinching. Having a bad back kept me from lifting any sort of substantial weight. The back isn't perfect now, but definitely better. Maybe I'll try some exercises that were previously off limits!1 point

My memory thinks it was yesterday. My muscles know its been ten years. Knowing what I had accomplished makes it tough to return to a beginner mindset, but it is the best advice, and I will do my best to follow it. Thanks!1 point

I did notice some tenderness in my left hand/arm yesterday. I'm sure it was from the card ripping. Gonna take it a little easier going in, see how things feel. On the upside, came up with an idea for overcrushing during the close. I love my straphold setup which I made many years ago with a metal ruler and a 2.5# plate. Today, I tried overcrushing a stepbit (unibit). Used the Trainer, right hand, with a 5-count overcrush on every step. Fun little training device.1 point

Ten years ago since my last post here. That's a long time in grip strength. Life got the better of me, chasing too many squirrels. Went through some health issues, gym has been inconsistent, and the grippers are heavily coated with basement dust. Tried them a few days ago, can't close the #2. Got 5 reps on the 1.5. Have trouble ripping phone books too. They just don't seem to want to go. Oddly, I can still rip a deck of cards fairly easily. So what brought me here today? A friend gave me a deck of cards to rip. I could barely tear a crease in the top. Yeah, they were plastic coated. I got pissed, and spent 20 minutes working on those. Finally got through them. Made me wonder what's still in the tank. Ain't no better place than here for a fill up!1 point

Not sure where this post belongs. I just did a transaction with a member on here (as well as many others over the years), and I'm fortunate to be able to say that it has all been very positive. No b.s, no drama, and I always get what is listed. Thank you all for running and supporting a great forum. What a great bunch of people. Very grateful.1 point

Just to add to what you mentioned. This is a great forum. Everyone is willing to help. I done a swap with a member around 2 years ago, it was straight forward with absolutely no hassle, and we were both very pleased with the equip ment we received. I personally wouldn't hesitate to trust a member on this forum.1 point
