  1. The “official” Cottrell and the weirdest pickaxe lever technique. The Amazing Jose. Strict and strong ring by Matt I am still not sure what this event was called. This last pic is of Tom and myself with a bar I had brought for him to bend given to me by Brent. Tom made quick work of this and many bars on this day.

  2. I finished this guy up Saturday night. Pivoting Saxon top for my solid loading pin. Same 2x5 dimension as my main bar and I expect it to feel like the full length bar with this center pivot setup. Will be testing this week 2H. Tested this weekend with one hand at about 80# which is weight in the pic with those 12.5# plates and it felt like the full bar minus the balance issues of the full bar. Will have it available for warmups and spectators to try during the comp. - Aaron

  5. Look at that list of competitors. If I am able to make it, I may have to switch from the men's 83K to the women's division, and I might be last in that, too. But seriously, that short Saxon bar rig looks awesome, I love Saxon bar. I was doing the full one this past Saturday for the second time. Upped my PR to about 205, which might be only a few pounds short of not being less than every guy on that competitor list. At least some of you probably warm up with less anyway. So my birthday gift to myself: if I don't make it to the comp, I should at least be able to afford to get myself a Saxon bar instead! See y'all, here if not there.

  6. Less than less seems to be where I am anymore. I've never really been able to progress on higher volume. These days it's mostly a daily workout of very varied exercises. But then again I am no longer pursuing more and more strength.

  11. One thing that's cool with the GBI certs is that they do a certificate when you do the cert. Here is the one I received for the reverse cert I did.

  12. Quick back and abs workout tonight. I used my straps with hooks so I wouldn’t put any stress on the hands. Still went light with the right side though because the doc cut my wrist I’m two spots to take the tendon graft and the incision Marks are right where the straps wrap on my wrist. About half weight on the right side to be safe. First rows with the right arm since surgery though so I’m happy about that. Single Arm Cable Rows 5 sets of 10x each side Single Arm Lat Pulldowns 5 sets of 8-10x each side Hyperextensions 5 sets of 8-10x Ab Machine Crunches 5 sets of 20x Single Arm Machine Rows Horizontal Grip 5 sets of 8-10x each side Been Working on my stretching like a mad man everyday and now I can almost make a fist: Feeling more and more like my old self everyday. One step at a time. Whatever it takes.....

  15. Injuries are just part of the game. I only get injured once every couple years so I'm grateful for that. I always find a way to train around an injury. I'm back at DU bending and long bar. I think I'm going to go for some Grip bend Italia once I build up my strength. I see you grabbed some bars from them, How did the bars feel?

  16. I updated the info on the initial post of this thread. Also Venue has changed back to Tucson Strength Gym. Sounds like the promoter trying to put together the Fit Expo wasn't able to make it happen. - Aaron

  18. Good day of bending. I did my first GBI bar. The 120 kg bar reverse. Lots of snapping today. Beat the hands up quite a bit.
