  1. Yesterday: 2 3/8 NN up to 360. PR A bunch of different lifts with Jedd's half a hundy hex block. Even cleaned it once. Today: Snow shoveling and playing.

  2. Thanks! Surprisingly, I felt really good warming up after missing two bench workouts, so I decided to go big. Guess the vacation did me some good. And that beer workout you put me on, of course.

  3. 166.9 two hand flask, another hold with 159.95 for about 7 seconds, last week was about 5. Did some pinch block curls, fat grip hammer curls, threw a chain on a 100lb plate and did some two hand blockbuster reps. Need to set up a crossbar because I'm good for another few lbs. If I knew the height was there I could count it, but for now I'm sticking to a real soft "lock out". Basically if it doesn't start to slip at the top and looks high enough.

Tue (1/8) Steel Shredders 4 5/8 x 25" (228k) Pull-ups (3x8) I had been debating to put this bend off for another week-or-two, until the headache improved or resolved, but decided if I waited that long, it might not happen - if ever. With the thought of a break derailing my recent gains, and the contest coming to a close soon, I decided to make an attempt with my last bar from this (hard) batch. The bend was tough (regardless of how it appeared and the speed). Amazingly, for a few hours after the bend, I felt the best I have in the past few weeks. I have a few bars from the easier batch, but am not likely going to improve on this bend, as I would have to cut them to the 18-19" range, which would be out of my current ability, I think. This bend would have been a WR for the 93k class (tie-breaker on time), but I was about a pound over and was pressed for time, so didn't even bother with it.

  10. While in Colorado I did 10 pushups with my wife on my back and 10 pullups from a ledge with all my snow gear on. Then when I got home last night I pressed my new 85 globe dumbbell for 3 reps righty. It’s actual weight is 83. Bench 115x14 PR! This was my best ever projected max set (365 pounds).

Yesterday only BJJ... 5x5min rolls back to back... great smoke session Today hit it hard after a day and a half of a horrible diet, pizza and bday cake lol - put shit in get shit out, felt like absolute dogshit 255lb squat rep out, first nine without full standup so full muscle contraction - then 3/3/1 for a set of 16 total CrossFit grace with a pullup twist, 30 pullups/ 30 clean and push presses at 135lb 2 mile run in 15:03, felt pretty much like trainwreck but I just pushed through anyway - not a pretty result

  12. 2" V-bar: Only went up to 250. It aggravates my shoulder if I go super heavy. Then more training for the blockbuster: Got 90 pretty easy. Couldn't quite get 92.4 totally to lockout. Here's the 90 plus the best of my 5 not quite good enough attempts at 92.4.

  15. Good day. Not great, but good. Worked up to 410 x 3 on 2" NN. Was so tired from that effort that I missed 430. Next time. Switched to using the blockbuster clone I have for pinch training. Will be contesting that in a comp Feb 16 and I want to get used to the rounded edges. Makes it harder than the other 3" block I have which has much sharper edges. I was pretty beat from the NN and ended up getting several partial lifts with 90. One I got all the way but lost it at top. I think I'm good for 90-93 fresh, which is about 10 below where I am on the other block. Need to get this dialed in a little better so I can give Jedd and Luke a run for their money next month on the BB.

  16. Two hand pinch, got a bit over 165 on the flask. I think I'll give this 4 weeks with flask (progress should be about stalled) and then next 2 weeks try to find my ideal euro width. Shooting for bodyweight 2hp and feeling good about getting there, 180ish. Also did some pinch block curls, hit the fingers pretty hard. Starting slow, block and a 5 and a spin lock is about 19 lbs but the spin lock puts the weight out there a bit for some decent leverage. Here's the 165 flask, also got a hold at the top with 160, vid on my instagram.

  19. I've been slacking, holidays... Didn't gain any weight though. Easing into bending, got .302x7 drill rod from 130* to 90* (with a stop at 110, no endurance ) in BBW wraps, that was one of my iso bars so happy with that. Still building back up. Probably do some two hand pinch this weekend, finally got a pipe for the euro!
