Go for the 124, give it a parallel set. It's just you doing bonus showoff at that point anyhow.

Finally got some baby Inch dumbbells

I had to stay on them about the cannonball...but the accuracy of their dates seemed better with the baby inch so I thought they were improving. Guess not. For what it's worth...on smaller stuff it seems a bit faster...perhaps because they have some inventory already made. And that stuff being lighter...the boxes arrive in much better shape than the heavy stuff.

If I had to list my top priorities it would be- Snapping (Tomajko style thigh crush) Classic underhand bending (like 1" space between pads) And horseshoes (most important). The rest would be armwrestling and physique related.

Also, here is an sx7 #2 I did and a red nail snap Tomajko style, done 2 days ago. The red nail took ~9 minutes. No leg pad for that either.

Did some more sx7 #2 and #1 with no leg pad the past few days. Also got some black triangle grade 8 bolts from a local supplier. Did one reverse and DU today. They were VERY hard. Harder than every other grade 8 I have tried. Great training bolts. They were $30 for 30 of them. Quite the steal. The bolt supplier has everything. I'm picking up 20 6mmx150mm 12.9 bolts. $2 a piece. I've been thinking about my goals lately. I wanna be amazing at horseshoes, so I think those will be my top priority. For unbraced I might stick to traditional underhand. Not sure what else I can fit in. Maybe the rest of my training will be more physique and armwrestling oriented.

The only #2 I have rated right now is a filed one at 108. That extra few mm will probably stop every one of them from a complete close. Next play is tricky...I have two #2.5s...a 124 and 128. And I seem to stop around 117 (as seen last July and a couple months ago). So do I go big and squeeze the 128 or play it safe and go for the 124 because it's closer to my max?

Finally got some baby Inch dumbbells

I wouldn't have minded as much, but they kept telling me info that turned out not to be true. If they said something would be done tomorrow, that turned into a week or two. If they said a week, it turned into at least 2-3 weeks. I think they may need an extra set of hands and may not yet have quite the revenue they need to hire someone, but that's just a guess. I do have to say that they put on grip competitions, and in some ways I think they do it better than the competitions over here.

Finally got some baby Inch dumbbells

Sorry you had such a bad experience. I've had to wait a while for their stuff...a cannonball got lost...and my baby inch miraculously arrived in a completely blown out box. But I always gave them the benefit of the doubt because they replaced the lost item and generally provided good customer service.

Good point! Still seems like a fairly safe bet that my #3 will go back home with me un-closed that day...

Added the band as I remember that being a way to bridge between weights & Phatmuscle used to bang on about them lol. All in all a half decent sess. Got some work done & enjoyed it. The hardest one I’ve closed would be the rgc 175lbs 1st gen Tungsten with a parallel set. I also finish my bending sessions by chest crushing the Xinyi Wanja 450 for a few singles but man that thing is gnarly lol makes the Hulk feel like a toy by comparison

    Information about Tetting Hercules

John Wood has some serious rare Tettings… as well as super collection of barbells and dumbbells- im talking museum level.
  21. I had to admit that at my advanced age and with my various injuries, not to mention just medium-sized hands, that it isn't likely I'll ever be able to lift a full-weight Inch replica. So after a long search for baby Inches, I gave up trying to find one in the US, and I ordered a 66 kilo (mine weighs slightly more, about 146 pounds) from Gods of Grip in the UK. The dumbbell itself is just okay. The dimensions are spot on, but the handle is welded to the globes, and the weld makes getting a good grip harder than it should be, but the texture is pretty good. The service from Gods of Grip wasn't good. When they show the dumbbell to be "In Stock", that means that they have access to the components, but it still needs to be made and painted and shipped. They repeatedly underestimated how long it would take. I ordered it on 12/1/23, and didn't get it until 1/19/24, when I was originally told it would arrive before Christmas. I ordered a couple of the only other size (28 kilos) they had "In Stock" on 12/12/23. I finally got one of them on 2/7/24; Fedex lost the other one. I didn't get the refund for the lost one until 4/11/24. The owners seem like nice people, and they put on grip competitions and promote Grip Sport, which is good, but they constantly over-promised and under-delivered. If you order one of their baby Inch replicas, plan on being very, very patient. As this played out, a Grip board member posted about a guy in South Carolina who was starting to make baby Inch replicas! He (Zack Staniewicz) had a prototype with a 2-5/8" handle which I bought. The ones he will make in the future will have the 2-3/8" handle. He sent it out quickly and the quality, even on a prototype, was much better. It was cast in all one piece, so there are no welds on the handle. If I had known he was going to start making them, I never would have ordered the one from Gods of Grip. Zack will be making a few different sizes, and he is also making a handle and some rounded plates that will replicate the handle and rounded inside edges of an Inch, but it is plate-loaded. That should give the feel of a real Inch with the advantage of being able to adjust the weight, and I think he'll be selling those for less than $100. A much more affordable option for Inch Dumbbell training. I think he'll be making several sizes of the Inch replicas, including baby Inches, full-weight ones, and even heavier ones. Great to see that happening here in the US. He can be reached at 914-426-0764 or email zstan3@aol.com Domedude

    Doug Dude's Training Highlights

If they close a #3 after they take their second hand off it, they should own it. Even if they start from 10mm, which I'm not certain they could get to pushing both hands like it's a Power Twister.
