Ironmind COC 3 "Cert" not fully closed?

I watched this on my phone and on my iPad. Not a close. Then I watched on a full size screen at the office, and it almost looked like a different video. The gripper actually dips below the screen, and when it reappears, for a microsecond it looks nearly closed, maybe one 40th of an inch away, and it could have touched. But watching it right now on an iPad, it looks to be maybe 1/12th of an inch away, which is a ton. Cannon seemed to describe it best, as it was blurry. There is one person I will never show this video to, and that is my son. When he was in his twenties, he was looking over RJS’s shoulder as Dr. S was reviewing a camera still of an attempted close of mine. He said, “That’s a close, dude”. A week later, my late brother showed a picture of a photo HE had taken to his place of work (State of California EPA) and four PhD’s all thought it was a close(I took four attempts, and I know the 1st and the 4th were not closes). My son, now in his 40s, who, after serious injury and surgery can still deadlift over 600 lbs., had a tee shirt made for me that said on it: “REAL Captain of Crush”. I wore it out and threw it away many years ago… As Jimmy Carter, one of the most respected and disrespected Presidents in US History once said “Life is not Fair”. If I can let this go, you guys can too.

    Gd grip dynamometer?

I think having a nutcracker style is the best option to avoid copying. parallel handles give bigger numbers anyway…and isn’t as gripper accurate. although, the design wouldn’t be as easy. Would have to have a Vulcan style setup with the gauge in between the top rails. And adjusting the handles spread. or just keep it as is…probably would drive the price up even further.

    Gd grip dynamometer?

I own both (along with the Baseline BIMS Functional). I like Vano's design overall the best, my only complaint is the downgrade on the newer models to a plastic handle adjustment knob. The GD Dyno 150 is very well built, however. I agree, they most likely copied Vano's design idea, though the two look nothing alike. The measuring gauge itself is nearly identical (except that you can change units on the GD). It even has the same pitched "beeeeeep" when you fire it up compared with the Grippermania.

  16. I have roughly 15 that are built and will be posted this week. After that I still have another 300 springs. We have handles made for probably 100 of those springs. Those are on the assembly schedule. So there will be more as time goes on. Yeah, we'll make 150 Platinum (or whatever) thinking that's a "good" supply and then it's gone.

You know an implement is difficult if I'm within 9lb of @Eric Roussin on it...hahaha

2024 United States Grip Sport National Championship

Best Medley format is the Canary Islands Medley. Each competitor brings or chooses his/her own implement. Make it as hard as they want, but they have to lift theirs first before lifting all the others. Since there's only about a half dozen people signed up, it could even be 2-3 items per person, but, again, they have to lift all theirs before attempting the others. Winner is the one who lifts theirs plus as many of the others.
  20. Sure is. Making one gripper is easy enough. It’s production that’s the hard part. So many things have to go right. I hope you get back to that point soon. Standard grippers are amazing.
  21. I liked that update you gave saying you had good supplies then two days latter they sold out . I'm still waiting to purchase some Nickel. Do you have many left?

  23. I'm more into using grippers than selling them, I'll probably get buried with my grippers at this point, and choke my GHP10 in my skeleton's hand so it looks like my soul grinded out one last PR rep

    Gd grip dynamometer?

~$112 is a decent price point.
  25. I kind of know. It's thousands, not tens of thousands. Although we have no plans of stopping and only plan to get more efficient and productive over time. Remember, Tom and I basically had things figured out and were working on ramping up, but then Tom died suddenly. So now I make them with Justin in a more commercial shop, but we had to reinvent the wheel and get them up an running again. We were close to a smooth and sustainable process, then springs got scarce because that manufacturer has been critically understaffed. Making stuff is hard lol

im thinking about buying the gd, gm 150 is way too expensive
  27. We need to hype up early Do you know how many you made in total or how many of each level? If it’s 10s of thousands I doubt @C8Myotome will sell it for hundreds even after 20 years
