I usually get a bag of IronMind's "Just Protein" powder for both my son and my son-in-law's birthdays and at Christmas. They are both pretty serious on taking care of themselves, working out, etc., both in their 40s.

This year, I forgot until Friday, December 19. I faxed an order late in the afternoon, used a credit card, etc., and crossed my fingers I would get it by tomorrow. I told my wife I figured it for chances of 60/40.

My wife texted me. It arrived at our home an hour ago!

Yes, they are located only 250 miles from me. But still, in the rush of Christmas, and they are not exactly like ordering from Amazon...I think that is fantastic service, and I plan on emailing RJ Strossen to tell him so.

I recently acquired an older model Ironmind Blockbuster and this is my first time ever using one too. This block has extremely slick paint and will not take any chalk what so ever. Does the newer model take chalk better? I’ve seen people training with theirs and it’s caked in chalk and I just don’t understand how they are getting chalk to stick. My best lift with this block was 70.8lbs and I’m very curious what I could pull on a newer version if it takes chalk better.

	Side note:

My block has the Ironmind sticker on the inside and it’s holographic. I’ve noticed the new version has a matte finish sticker on the outside of the block now. Hopefully someone could help me figure out the modified this one. Seems older but is in brand new condition.

Training for CTD certification.

Hey guys, today at the end of my workout I was able to pull ~140 lb x2 on the Rolling Thunder. This was my first time using it, and this was after a full workout to failure on my CoC grippers, hub, and pinch blocks.

I have the whole Olympic pin apparatus thing and loaded 135 lbs on it after warmups (I figured the whole setup is ~140 lbs). It didn’t feel too bad, and I might have had 1 more in the tank. Afterwards, I dropped to 100 lb and did timed holds.

My question is, what do you think is the best way going forward to train for maximal Rolling Thunder strength? I’ve only ever held heavy weights for a long time while doing shoulder shrugs, and I figure this is probably where my base comes from.

Also, do you think it is at all reasonable to project a potential “Crushed To Dust” certification within a year? I can already comfortably close the CoC #2 and pull hub 45 lbs.

Do the imTUGs really help for closing a heavy challenge gripper? Finger isolation training sounds good.

Hey everyone! I had the opportunity to try the crushed to dust challenge before the Arm Lifting Super Series competition here in Ottawa on Saturday, and I think it went really well! I was fortunate to have lots of advice from my training partners on the best way and timing to approach the challenge. I was also very fortunate to have the legendary Eric Roussin be my referee and the also legendary Yves Gravelle be the videographer! I am so lucky to be surrounded by such exceptional people.

I have been working towards this for over a year now, and have definitely improved, so I am very happy with my attempt.

Let me know what you think!

Hi, I have a coc 2 from 2010 which is quite rusty, despite the 3 in 1 oil it gets stuck regularly after a fairly short time and the rust is still a little visible. My question is simple; can we use an anti rust treatment for the spring of iron mind grippers? I fear that there is a treatment on the spring and that it weakens the metal, in fact I use a product that tends to remove the surface treatments of the metal in particular the chrome if it is damaged.

Was gonna show off and do both hands, but my right wasn't feeling it from my heavy gripper work. I just went offhand and completed the challenge.

Now, I can spend a month or so purely on grippers and get my 3.5 cert.

From what I heard from Iron mind specifically on twitter, they said Satohisa Nakada was the lightest guy to do it. However, in their tweet they only said less than 150 lbs. I've seen some sources and even people on here say he weighed as low as 137lbs. I wanna know just as confirmation, but also because I wanna be lightest person to close the 3 and certify.

I just purchased an IronMind hub, and I was disappointed to find sharp specks and flaws to the rim and what looks like welding splatter around the hub. I’ll have to file it before using to prevent shredding my hands.

Has anyone else received a hub like this? Did I just get the unlucky one?

I love IronMind’s history and I have several of their products. This is the first time one has arrived subpar.
So would you guys recommend these for grip training in general? Because of how much I use my grippers and how I train, I've noticed that my ring and pinky fingers seem stronger than my others. When I get calluses, I've also noticed I get close to no calluses on my index finger. Could this be due to strength imbalances in my hands due to grippers and do you recommend imTUGS from Iron Mind?
