I wanted to wait until I got a full double set, but I am having a hard time tracking down a second 1st gen GHP 10.

Anyhow, here's my entire GHP collection: 30 pieces in all - I have 27 grippers (three of which are special editions) and three set blocks. I believe there's only one person who has more than me, Mr. Clint Ziegler - @liftyzig who owns 42 of them!

	Enjoy the pics!

By the way, shout out to the following people who helped me attain these and were super cool in the process (I apologize if I left anyone out)

Quick fix here

I received this GHP8 after purchasing on eBay... The seller actually UPS overnighted it with free shipping! Anyhow, I noticed that it's in perfect condition except for the handle labels.

The label ends are very yellow and old looking. I looked online and a quick fix was to set it out in the sunlight since UV rays seem to restore things like this. I happen to own a UV flashlight 🔦 so I experimented & lit one end for only about 1/2 hour. These are the results with a smaller flashlight. I imagine if I left it overnight it would turn out even brighter white.

Anyhow, I thought this was a good tip if any of you have the same issue. If you don't have a UV flashlight, I suppose creating a rig to keep the handles vertical pointed toward the sun would be an option.

Also, I cleaned up all my GHPs per Matt @Cannon recommendations. This includes using a wire brush on the handles to remove chalk, sweat and gunk. I also use Flitz metal polish on the spring and buff it up, along with the tops of the handles. A little bit of 3-IN-ONE oil droplets to finish on the top of the spring keeps it from squeaking. A thorough wipe down with a old t-shirt seems to work well.

Here's all my GHP (gen 1s) to date. I started with only a GHP1 & 4 from 2012, but with the help of several board members and keeping a close eye on eBay, I was able to grow the gripper collection to 13 (plus two gen 2s). My goal is to have doubles of every level. 😉

Hello fellow gripsters! Just felt like sharing this with the forum. Recently having picked up my GHP Level 7,8,9 and 10 (which are all incredibly amazing grippers from all standpoints by the way) from German customs, I noticed that the GHP10 is especially wide compared to all my other grippers.

That's what the measurements ended up being:

Incredibly enough, it's exactly 80 mm wide. Moreover, the Rating of this Gripper is an amazing 126.6 kg, which is about 279 lbs! Converted from my measurement station into CPW values, it must be at around 285lbs CPW! I beliebe that this gripper is probably right there on the very edge of what's humanely possible to close from a DS or maybe even a MMS (but highly doubtful). It is an incredibly motivating factor to have such a gripper in my vault.

It also made me start my small collection of epic grippers

I wasn't sure at first if we would run a certification program but the grass roots movement underway to film closings of GHP grippers has changed my mind on this. Rather than a typical certification program, the GHP Gripper Challenge is more dynamic. If you can close a Professional Series GHP Gripper (Level 7-9) that's a great accomplishment and should be recorded. But the challenge doesn't end there. If you can do two reps this is better and you should also be recognized, as should 3, 4, 5..... But wait, if you can not only close a Level 7 but you can close a Level 8...well that should be recognized as better than any number of reps with a 7.

I've tried to make this simple and fair without breaking the bank. The easiest way to enter the challenge is to buy a new gripper, a GHP set block, open the gripper on film and film the challenge attempt. If you don't want to buy a new gripper fine - just measure the handle spread and spring diameter using a micrometer, on film, and make your attempt. Even easier yet is to have GHP grippers for reps in a contest with a judge watching and counting your reps. GHP set blocks are 1.5" - the distance I always have felt is a fair starting position and a distance that works for doing reps. To keep this professional looking and to eliminate any controversy the one thing that I am requiring is that you purchase a set block. Even though the cut down credit cards were cool I feel pretty strongly that a block is much better and eliminates any question whether the card passed through perpendicular to the handles or was forced through the handles deforming the card.

Please let me know your thoughts on all this. The blocks are late from the manufacturer but I do have some of the early prototypes in stock and ready to ship.

Thanks everyone for your support.

We regret to inform the grip community that Gillingham High Performance has no immediate plans to continue manufacturing grippers in 2024. As many of you have noticed this has been in the works for the past 6 months. In 2023 we worked through our remaining parts inventory and for the last half of the year had limited size offerings. The reason is simple: the high standards we set for our brand when we first started this journey back in 2010 are cost prohibitive today.

We want to thank the overwhelming support for our brand from the GripBoard community. We started out with a simple mission to fulfill a need in the grip and torsion spring hand gripper community: to build the highest quality gripper with the most reproducible feel in the world. We sincerely hope that we filled that need for our customers. We certainly tried and I'm proud to say we never cut corners.

I'm still discussing some things with Matt about how to move forward with the GHP Certification - will it still be run, by who, where will the results live, etc.. Also the last of the new stock of GHP grippers that are available can be found here: https://cannonpowerworks.com/products/gillingham-high-performance

Thanks again for the support over the years.

Anyone know anything?

The greatest feat of grip strength ever. No question in my mind. I've been around the game a long time and I have seen a lot of things - this is out of this world. When we built the Level 10 I never really thought anyone would close it. It's so far past the level of strength of a CoC 4 or the GHP 9 that it's really hard to believe anyone's hand would be strong enough to handle the pressure. You can see in the video how hard of a time Carl has just holding the gripper at a set while he positions the block. Carl is the first and possibly the last that will ever accomplish this incredibly difficult feat of strength. I'm glad I got a chance to see it. Cheers Carl Myerscough - the greatest gripper close of all time!

Hey guys. Just wanted to do a small review on my new (to me) level 5.

All I can say is wow, such high quality, the knurling is top notch. IMHO, I think this should be the industry standard for quality. Don't get me wrong, I love my ironmind products, but these grippers take it up a couple of notches!

BTW, out of the package I can juuuuust barely get it to parallel, still a long way to go!

I have closed both my GHP 7’s (rated at 142 and 144 by Cannon PowerWorks) on numerous occasions. My GHP Level 8 is significantly harder than both of my 7’s.

How can I bridge the gap?

My grippers between my GHP 7 and 8: I have a COC#3 that is harder than both my 7’s, as well as a filed #2.5 (not rated) and a filed #3 (rated at 160 by CPW).

I have several other grippers in the toolbox too.

	Hey Mr Gillingham!

I am struggling with your website for more than a year now. It is just impossible to view your shop using Mozilla Firefox browser.

I am sorry that I did not bring it up earlier because I thought it might just be my modded Browser, but since I tested your website on other devices and got the same error, I thought I need to contact you. Sorry for the delay, Wade!

	According to Browser Market share:
https://kinsta.com/browser-market-share/

basically 7.69% of users may not be able to view your shop.

Maybe others can confirm. If not, sorry for bothering.

	Keep up creating mastercraft grippers!

	Kind regards!

Last week I posted on the GHP facebook fan page (http://www.facebook.com/gillinghamhp) that someone closed the GHP Level 9. Now 8 days later I have a video of the same person not only closing it, doing it with the GHP Set Block and measuring the gripper with a digital micrometer, all within the rules of the GHP Gripper Challenge (http://www.gillinghamhp.com/gc.aspx). I just posted a photo of the close to the fan page. Take a look and while you are there, Like the fan page so you can keep up on all the current news about the GHP line and the GHP Gripper Challenge. I will be analyzing the video and making a decision soon.

Can anyone tell me where I can get GHP grippers for a reasonable price in the UK, specifically I'm looking for a level4. Would be willing to buy used if someone would sell to me. I'm not willing to pay Cannons fee for shipping to the UK (I understand why its that price) and I've contacted GHP direct and they no longer ship to the UK.

	Thanks
