Any golfers out there? Been training for speed the last couple of weeks using a swing fan. Then I use a weighted driver. Been doing 2sets of all-out 20 reps with the fan, then 2 sets with the weighted driver. Twice a week for 2 weeks now. Have already added 20 yds.

I think the grip training I've been doing for 21 years has helped as well... Can swing the fan harder becaus of it- I believe.

Grip it and rip it, after I tee off I'm ready to pick up and go to the next hole.  :)  I like golf just not chipping and putting.

I used to play quite a bit but after I started coaching that took all my time.  I can see how grip and wrist strength would help the swing.  Weak hands are not an advantage in any sport, I keep trying to get that point across at our school.

I wish I played when I was a kid... You can practice all day when you don't have to work. :)

It's a funny thing in that you grip the club lighter when your grip is strong- you get more speed that way. A tight grip kills your game.
