Have you tried an old school set of Yorks for the hub pinch?
Have you tried any other well-known pinching feats? maybe a Blob at Erics or something?

Congrats Zach!

Jedd or anyone else, do you know the dimensions of the old York hubs? (diameter and depth)

There are probably dozens of them, no exaggeration. Depth, width, etc. No pattern, none, zero.

Well done once again. Glad you got the recognition you deserve. You will probably end up breaking your own record a few more times also. Do you plan to compete at nationals? You did really well at that last contest overall and could do some damage.

Big Congrats. That is one hell of a lift.

That would explain why I've never been able to find specs
Thanks!

Thanks guys, greatly appreciated! I've never tried lifting any old York plates by the hub. I think I have only seen that type of plate maybe once or twice, and it was before I had an IM hub.
Yes, I train blobs quite regularly. My brother bought a 40, 45, 50, and 50lb fatman last summer. I can lift all, except the fatman. I've hopped it a few times, but never fully lifted it.
I'd like to compete in nationals, but I need to get my thick bar strength up drastically. If I plan to break the 80.2 record, I should probably be more strategic in my planning and preparation. I was having so much fun at the contest, I didn't think about how bending red nails with Tommy, messing with horseshoes, and testing out all the grippers between events could possibly tax my grip and effect the hub haha.
At any rate, I am extremely motivated now to get a 90lb hub lift in contest.

Congrats on your historic feat Zach!!!
I felt privileged being the judge of your historic hub lift!!!
I foresee a mid to high 90's lift in the not too far future from you.
Great meeting you and talking with you as well. You seem like a really
great guy with tons of determination!!!
It would be great if you and Aaron could make it over to my place and do some
training together and sharing of ideas.
