ive been slackin these days.. mybad.
thought id post this here due to the fact that this was also one of my very first bending goals when getting into bending.
Edgin in imps: http://youtu.be/wsxKGZoAozM
..in my humble opinion, if you were to consider a red nail in imps with no bands in under a minute to be equivalent to a #3 cert, and a gold nail under the same conditions equivalent to a #4 cert, then a 7" Edgin in imps, in under a minute, with no bands, is the exact equivalent of a #3.5 cert.
also, again much thanks for sending some killer stock JT!
Love minimal wrap bending, most can't move an edgin in double let alone imps great job.
I think a gold in imps is more like a GHP 9 strict CCS in doubles I think its around a #4 mms.

i noticed looking over the thread that i havent included a few bends ive done since i started this thread.. so since this is basically my log until i get the gold, i will be including all of my bends in this thread again. that said, here is a cert attempt for the benders battlefield 1.5" wraps list.
did a warmup bend on a 620R bar just before this bend, and also bent a 6"-765 bar for a cert attempt right after this. (vid uploading). so i guess this will be my workout for the night.
btw, i dont recall saying this before, but its important to also work the bigger stock in double wraps to keep strength up while imp bending and conditioning the hands..
so once a week imp bends for volume, and once a week double wrap max effort bends on heavier bars.

did some random bends today..
warmed up with an FBBC Shiny bastard in imps
went for a bigger short stock bend with aim at getting a stronger crush- 5"x5/16" 890lb bar in 1.5" wraps. (took over 8 minutes, but i didnt even think id finish it, so its a pr)
bent a slightly wobbled gold nail in 1.5" wraps, (one that i attempted in imps awhile back). the wraps were BB wraps with DHWOG wraps as outer wraps. this was also a pr bend given the wraps were smaller than usual on this bend, but since it wasnt a straight gold nail, and i didnt know if id get it, no vid.
then went for a 6" imp cert on benders battlefield with a 670lb bar. finished the bend, but didnt get it in under a minute. this one pissed me off.. i actually felt really strong through this bend and thought it was done at about 40 seconds. so i unwrapped the bar to show the wraps as the cert rules state, measured the bar and found that i was 1/8" over. and by the time i actually measured the bar and realized it wasnt done, the time limit of a minute was up. lol. so basically a fail due to misjudgement on how far i took it. ..those fails suck worse than not having the steam to actually finish one imo.
the only thing i got on vid today was the failed 670lb bar cert. i will upload it and post it here in an unlisted link later tonight.

That is some mind blowing bends all in one workout outstanding job. Must be the power of the beard. You had that cert bend easily also it will go down next attempt no problem. I kind of like the fact FBBC allows you for more time for situations like that.

lol, thanks man. ya.. i sort of jumped the gun on the showing the wraps.. but the ass chapper is the fact that i dont have another one of those 670 bars. id like to see Mike K cal some more stock so i can either get more of those 6" 670 bars, or possibly bigger ones. ![]()
and yes, im also a big fan of a 5 minute time limit. that 5 minutes gives plenty of time to get through a big bend without having to go nuts on a bend.

Qx6" 765lb bend
bending machine
thanks bro
not long ago, JT included one of the new "hard" bastards along with some other stock he sent. it was shorter than 7" when it arrived (either 6.5" or 6") cant remember which. but i cut it down to 5.5" since i have net yet got around to bending an FBBC grand bastard. i had planned to attempt it in imps, but was worried i may not get it. so instead of wasting it on a half assed bend, i decided to go with BB wraps. here is the vid: http://youtu.be/AOIyd00tQzU
also, since i had a bunch of these arrive recently from FBBC (which was not what i ordered) i decided to try a one at 5". a.k.a. a Mag Bastard. even with the bastards being relatively tough these days, the 5" wasnt much trouble in 1.5" wraps. heres the vid: http://youtu.be/pr-OH-j3m3o
the shorter bars will be as much of a challenge as the bigger 7"+ stuff. so i will be working short bends in the weeks/months to come as well (never even put forth the effort on the short bends before). ..i only have about 100 of the bastards from the new batch.. lol, so i guess now is the time to power up on short bends while i have plenty of tough stock to practice on.

Very impressive short bending.
That 5" stuff is just weird and hard.
