Got Some New Steel

Ryan Trudell

Recommended Posts

My brother works at a machine shop and was able to tack my order onto a large shipment so I got a killer deal. Just got the shipment of 1/4 by 7 inch Hex (100) and Square (200) hopefully it will help with my race to the red nail. 35 pounds of steel to destroy!!!!!!

I also need to figure out how to post videos on here so I can get some technique critiques.

I am very computer illiterate....

Ok here are a few test uploads:

60D nail bend. bend starts around 50 sec mark.

Lowes 12" galvanized spike bend

hopefully these work.

I am open to any and all critiques to help me in my pursuit of bending bigger steel.

Videos work. Can't tell you anything on your form or technique. Those nails were way too easy. Post something you have to work for. Then all the tips will roll on in.

If you hold your phone sideways you will get full videos instead of the vertical ones.

I'm pretty new to bending but I agree with EJ. No point in videoing or really even bending things you can taco in 15 seconds unless its a warm up.

I've found that when I started using clamps when warping and pulling them super tight I was able to bend heavier stuff.

Or you are trying for a PR and it ends up being easy.

I look forward to seeing more from you!
