Getting back about to where I was now two years ago. The last rep was a grinder and form broke down but I had to get that last rep up!!

I used to do reps touch n go style but they don't really do anything for off the floor power at all because of the bounce reflex. This was harder then 495x5 tng that I did a couple years ago.

^^Definitely^^...I think Mark Bell said something like if you can pull it once then you can probably pull it twice. Which has been consistently true for me. Doing them from a complete stop is a much better way to train for absolute strength IMO. Also,. great job on those pulls man they looked strong.

Thanks guys. Low back started to round on third rep which is not a good thing to have happen. Sometimes ya just gotta finish it though.

I never have seen a good deadlifter that wasn't strong all over. It Is the best indicator I have seen to access overall strength and general physical power is the deadlift. The other spot tests I have noticed a high validity in correlation with athletic power is a hand dyno, vertical jump , or a series of three hops for distance.

Thanks guys. Richard Sorin, I think you would agree that the key is time. I got serious about lifting 17 years ago. Much longer then I even knew about grip specific training. I will be 36 this year and am much more well rounded in strength then in my 20's.
