Ivan Beritashvili
That's for sure a grip thing. Even though Eagle loops lifts are uncomparably more painful, the grip strength required is much more in trap-bar lifts. Handles diameter is 33.5 mm / 1.3". What adds fun - is the fact that my trap bar is made absolutely symmetrical. So even coulpe of millimeters off-center grip makes him raise reared or nod. These moves tear my grip like child's. So Grip Strength + balance feel + overal strength = good weights in this exercise. One thing I have to do - is to hang the bar by handles on thin ropes to find equilibrium and mark the centers of handles with permanent marker.
