Hee all!

Today I decide to try bend my first 60D-nail double overhand. My first attempt on video:

The begin of the bend was really hard, but when I reached the kink it was verry easy. Ooh the nail did I found in my shed it is a little bit rusty and the tip of the nail is blunt.

Hope all you people enjoyed it, and please give me your opinion/ advise. Negative or positive :)

Greetz,

Rens

Nice job on bending a 60d man.

The advice I will give is likely something you already know if you've been watching other experienced benders.

You are bending too far away from your body, and the steel isn't even close to being under your chin. That being said you did manage to power through the bend in an awkward position, but you need to fix those issues if you want to bend anything much bigger than a 60d.

Keep it up man, I look forward to seeing some more bends!

If you turn your phone on its side for the video it will take up the whole screen and not just a little vertical portion.

Gooood. I don't know if I could bend a 60D nail that far from my body. You want the steel to literally be touching your throat as you kink

Good bend. You will bend it with more power if you tuck it under your neck put the wraps around 1-1.5" away from either end of the nail. When those suede wraps come in from David Horne that will help!

Good start brother.

1-1.5"
.

This is a matter of preference and feeling of the wrap/steel composite in the shape of the hand. I wrapped IMP's at 2" exactly. I think Carl does like 1.75".

1.5" is generally known for doubles. Its going to be up to the way you are able to put force into the bar. I couldn't bend anything with the IMP's farther out.

True, I bend using 1.5" from either side but as long as he starts working on his wrapping preference - be that 1", 1.5, 1.75 or 2" it will help

Thanks for your advice Frank. You are going to see more videos of me bending steel.
