David Horne
On the Two Hands Pinch I lifted 109.25k, then 116.95k, and then got air under 125.3k. I tore my skin badly on the second lift, and it was this that gave way on my third lift with 125.3k. This shows I am at 125k level, and I will be ready to claim this poundage at the next event. I was also very pleased with the 22 secs hold with 100k, as I already had a gash in my thumb webbing! World Records being sorted now

EricMilfeld
David, have you noticed any gains on your two hands pinch for max weight as a result of training timed holds? I've recently been training the timed holds pretty hard, and think they are helping. Two hands pinch timed holds is another event I need to have in my next contest. One of the Show of Hands I hosted was a timed events theme. It's definitely my strongest area of grip, and I did feel a little guilty basing an entire contest on my pet lifts. But I did it anyways.

David Horne
Eric, I'm just back from a holiday to Anglesea in Wales. There are a few things that have helped and holds are definitely one of these factors. Other factors are keeping the skin healthy, so protected and adjusted pinch lifting is a must. Also there are some very important assistance exercises to develop strength. This is what I try to do every session, develop strength, not just exhibit. I have the hold world recs on my site, so when you have the results from it send them to me. It is also a quicker event, far quicker! I will send you the tour event results, which I attended whilst on holiday. A four hour round trip, but I promised to do it, and all the armwrestlers loved it, so that was great. Many thanks Richard! Training and life is fun, which is great for this old guy! As usual hands of Iron on Mr.Horne! Really fantastic pinching ability for over two decades!
