I know world of grip does these near the end of the year but I think its cool to see some of the big lifts that have been done about half way through the year(if anything to motivate for even bigger lifts to finish the year). These are not a complete list and I'm biased toward the biggest lifts overall of the year despite many great lifts at lighter bw's. Feel free to mention any I definitely forgot, these were just some off the top of my head that I remembered.

700lb partial DO deadlift with 2.6in bar by Chris James

Only man to lift everything at the might mitts medley this year by Mike Burke

(http://store.sorinex.com/Articles.asp?ID=431) Lists the implements done, even though not a single lift I felt it needed to be added. But to be fair lets say the anvil lift in particular since that was the one noone else could lift.

Few more months and contests to go though, hope to see more big lifts!

Definitely thought Chris James locking out 700 DO on a 2.6" axle is IMO the best thickbar feat of all time, i still have a hard time figuring out how this is humanly possible

The 700 doh and a 100lb anvil that's crazy. Also the ghp9 is pretty bad ass

How is Gabriele a year older than me doing the things he does.

700lbs dead at 2.6" and ghp9 are really hard to choose from

Chris is amazing. Is there a video of this ? I voted that as the best feat based on the assumption the hands were outside the thighs and a dragging /leaning back posture was not used. After seeing him in action before I feel it ( the lift)probably was attended to in his typical stellar ,clean lifting fashion. David Horne came close second in my mind in his long term commitment and high level of grip success over such an extended period is a high water mark of a true legend.

I had to vote for David Horne. All his feats amaze me but to keep cranking the records out for so long is just incredible.

His 2 hp record is just amazing.

I did get to see the videos and as expected Chris James is truly amazing.

I was good to see the Mike Burke onslaught of the Mighty Mitts gauntlet and that 100lb anvil that has stumped all except Chad Woodall and myself over the many years it has been on display. To see Mr. Mike make it and see that it was a truly difficult ,valid test of grip power is a great memory.
