I almost got two reps with the 2.5 ... just missed on the second close. The 255 felt really solid on the axle, so I tried 275 (which is my all-time PR) and ended up getting it knee-high. I might have been able to get this if I had done axle first. I broke ground with the 62.5 on the Pinchblock. This was after getting a slight hover in the last session. With the way things have been going with the PB, I think 65 will happen soon, and 70 is the goal by the end of the year. I'll start to get some video the closer I get to 70lbs.

I was really happy to get 405 on reverse band bench today. The rep was a grinder, but I'll take it! Bodyweight was 193.8 last night.

I had a really long day today and was going to attempt my deadlifting session tomorrow, but ended up having a few coffees and went for it. I got a new video camera and started taking some vids. This was 525 and 30-40lbs. off my all-time PR, but the heaviest I've gone in months.

For today's squats, I wore a z-suit. For anyone that doesn't know what that is, it's like a really tight singlet. Technically a squat suit, but made of very thin material, that can actually be rolled up in a ball. In the past, I was able to get about 15-20lbs. out of a z-suit, so I was happy today to get two solid reps with 405.

I used to wear a Super Centurion in competition, but have gotten away from suits these past few years. Nowadays, I usually go in single-ply briefs for my top few sets. Wearing briefs keeps my hips OK week-to-week and still lets me go relatively heavy. And, my raw squat is still going up in briefs; when I was in a suit years back, it ended up hurting my raw squat numbers. Are you lifting in a suit now?

I have a cheap suit that I throw on maybe once every two months for fun, not that there is anything fun about getting into a suit by yourself.

I have heard about a lot of guys using briefs for the purpose you mentioned. I might have to consider that further up the road.

Bench felt pretty good today. 330 was the most I've done raw in a long time. I took 405 on reverse-band, but didn't have a good set-up and missed about half-way up.

I decided to take a shot at 335 today (after last week's 330 grinder). I was expecting it to be tough, and was a little apprehensive going for it alone in my gym. But, I set-up and hit it, and was suprised it felt stronger than last weeks top set and almost flew up (probably my imagination, but it was easier than 330 last week). This was the heaviest raw bench I've ever done without a lift off.
