king crusher Posted December 22, 2014 Share Posted December 22, 2014 Okay guys so ya can't expect to finish everything every time so here are a couple bends I failed to get to 2" First up is the red in one imp. I felt good with the first couple hits and got the bar far. Feeling good I brought it lower for the crush and after watching vid I should have kept it high for one more hit as I feel I would have gotten this bend if I got one more hit with movement. It's my sticking point on max bends. The person filming stopped it before I wanted it stopped. Oh well. I should have ended it but felt bad for not finishing so I wrapped up a 520lb 6" 19/64 bar. I already had sore thumb pads and knuckles but whatever. Got this bar to almost the same place as the red but ive never done 6" stock except the little timber ties and did do a 6.5" red before in imps but never 6" stock. I felt like my hands were twice their normal size trying to find room to bend this thing haha. Another day I will smash both of these bars the rest of the way. Any advice on these failed bends would be awesome. Ya can't get them all! My knuckles and thumb pads are sore and have a slight tinge of pain in right shoulder. I will become stronger from this. But will rest a bit. First is red than the 19/64x6 then the third video is both bars next to each other showing them and their amount bent. king crusher Posted December 22, 2014 Author Share Posted December 22, 2014 Thanks man. It sucks cuz I should have went high for a third hit when the bar was still warm from first two hits. I know if I would have got one more hit with movement I could havecwentbto crush and finished. David was right about the pain in the red being worse at this point because the ends dug into my thumb pads a lot!! Reds a really rough on tree ends so if a guy were to sand the ends I think it would make it less painful for sure. I didn't do that but feel it would help with pain. That 19/64 would have been dead if not for wearing my hands out on red bend. At least I have some pre bent stuff now lol. Plus a few pre bent bars from EJ still too. Can't imagine the level of pain this brings. impressive. Josh, yes it's painful. Dogs right into your hands. Thumb pads are a lil sore today but surprisingly everything else is fine.
