The Mitts is close. All contestants please re read any information sent by son Bert and in an email if you have any questions please direct them to Bert @sorinex.com ASAP.He will be putting it all together but be here but ,not at Columbus with the birth of a new child. He has done his work well along with many meetings and gathering great support people. I again ask for all involved that this will be a wonderful one if we all pull together to make it happen. Always better to ask. For any new competitor men or those that wish to observe the event medley on Friday and the Henry Bell Saturday , please allow yourself PLENTY of additional travel time through exhibit hall to main stage. Please support your sport! Thanks!

The Arnold experience is in the book of memories. So may great contestants. Top notch performances, balanced over grip strength demonstrated at it's highest level. All the guys and friends of the sport pitched in spreading the good will of grip. Triple H, Ed Coan, Randy Couture, Kurt Angle, David Webster, Kaz, Action Star actor Jason Statham, all were kind enough to share time with us in our booth demo supporting grip. Men like Andrew Durniat, Chris Rice Nick Rosendaul, Jt Straussner, Brad Adurey, Alexy "Tank" Tykalov, Odd Haugen added so very much with their "true hands on" experience and information. Thousands shut the Baraban Dyno and had a taste of what grip was about as related to their specific sport. Big Rich Williams though not competing gave of his time to greet the throngs and put on 2 spectacular demos in the Expo hall. While eating a sandwich he calmly squeezed the Baraban dyno to 105 ( the highest being the Tank at a bit over 90). The competitors had a great blend in the trials of strength and several had to come back to retry a pesky 100lb anvil, or York deep dish 45 hub lift. All gave great performances but the top 4 were spectacular, Chad Woodall a solid 4th versed well in all grip, third, monster strong Mark Felix, Second and pound for pound the finest that day or perhaps ever Andrew Durniat, and in first a meat hook, mountain of skill, determination and muscle power Mike Burke. It was not easy for any with most "going to the well" to try to complete. Andrew in a spectacular effort in the medley did 14 of the 15 varied events only missing my elusive pet 4.5" wide 100lb. anvil pinch. Burk in a crazed, focused effort returned to the 202 Circus Bell, 45 York hub plate lift ,and the anvil to go an amazing 15 perfect score. The rolling handle Yoke lift was won at 460 but as an extra assurance Mr. Burke did 480. My deepest thanks to all those who gave of their time , blood and spirit to share grip with the world. Dear Richard, no doubt it was the best tournament of grip strength on the planet, with the best people on the planet.

Of course, many were not, Henderson, Snook, James, Johnson, Glass, but nevertheless another such tournament was not and is not.
In the future, can we hope to broadcast online in the next year, and increase the number of participants, for example up to 15?
Personally, I would have seen the heartbeat of the tournament rounds, more of your collection, such as Turk 3 "181 lbs, Dinny ring, closing Silver Crush 2 fingers, closing parallels handles 4 Phantom.

It is a huge effort and expense and think we have done our best to get the best grip guys on the planet to show their wares. To expand is in the tens of thousands of dollars so we must after a contest like this put our entire heart in it and then go straight back to work. The Arnolds was really fantastic ...better each year and with luck we can continue to offer opportunities to the greats in our sport to show their talents!

Richard, Thank you so much for your generosity! It wouldn't have been possible without the Sorinex crew, and getting to perform with Nick and big Rich Williams was something I won't soon forget.

I was playing with the idea of a larger Inch bell handle sized globe bell so we made one up with a large loading port. It is not bombproof but heavy duty since it will be dropped to an impact reduction mat and so heavy it might only be a great challenge for the best of the best grip men in a deadlift.. The bell is filled to the brim with non shifting steel slugs "rack poop" weighed in at 263. This would be a great event weight in a medley or single contest event. The 300lb. 3" Henry Mistake Bell may be a bridge too far but this one perhaps will give some monster handed being a chance to be first Mr.. Snook, Andrew, Brian Shaw, and Big Rich come to mind.....hmmmm
