Will we have the opportunity to touch/feel some of the medley stuff before the actual competition? I'm pretty new to this, so I have never even seen an inch dumbbell or a york deep dish plate.

You also need to make sure you are qualified to compete. below is a link to the process:

Squeezus is qualified, Gilbert Goodman. I didn't even realize he was a GB member until last night, when I saw he was on Instagram and I recognized him in his videos. I added him to the qualified athletes list the other day, but at the time, I didn't realize he was a member. So he's all set.

Will the Tips Tester weights be announced soon? I'd like to know so that I can get an idea of whether I'll be going for the half-point or full-point weight.

My apologies. Thought I listed it.

Tip Tester weights:

Heavy - 245#

Light - 205#

245 is a decent 1-hand lift on that implement.

The Tips Tester will be a 2-handed deadlift. 245# one hand would be insane.

My $0.02 on the wrist roller. Being one of the DNF's in 2013, my main problem is my hands got real sweaty at the end, and I might as well have had bearing grease on the roller at that point. I have done wrist roller at home before, but due to the dryness, and a bit of texture on mine, I had never experienced this before. I won't be able to make it this year, but if I was doing Andrew's wrist roller again, I probably would have chalked up more, and maybe had tried to chalk again towards the end of my go, if rules allowed it. Just one of the things that one has to figure out for oneself with these things.

Would we be able to prep/chalk the medley items prior to our run? Like 30-40 seconds to prep. Nothing ridiculous.

You have a very nice gym.

Absolutely. I plan to have 2 minutes maximum between contestants; this will give enough time to record scores and prep items as needed.

The exact medley item order is undetermined at this time. What I do know is the medley will be set up in a straight line; heavy items on your left, light items on your right.

for the slim lever. is it only the first part of the motion? also, it says off the ground but will we be using a towel or just knuckles on the mats?

Just the first part of the motion; sledge from the ground to sledge vertical. We will be using a towel for the knuckles.

Who is Philipe Tremblay? I don't recognize that name.

He's competed in a few of my comps. He's in the 74kg class. He qualified for the NAGS Championship by completing three of the qualification lifts for his class.

Cool! Another new competitor. Awesome.

Has he done 2HP before?

Not in competition, but he's tried it out on my Euro device.

Cool - does he know his width? Hopefully he can get that figured out and be more confident at the contest.
