Iron Grip Cert 200kg (595lbs)

This bar was every bit of 595 or so. It was done in singles and kinda slow. You guys will see me do something on this video I HAVE never done before; I relied on adrenaline and not strength. I had to flood my body with adrenaline. It's not something I like to do at all. No excuses but a reason, I was awake for 30+ hours and very very tired. I think this puts me in the top 3 for freestyle. Once again it was in single bb wraps.

Enjoy.

I'd also like to thank Ivan and the Iron Grip team for all they have done. The calibrations are very very accurate according to the Mike Krahling and Eric M formula. Regardless of the formula and calibrations if you want the red THIS will help you get there. Plain and simple

Great bend! How would you say it compares to a 7"big G5?

a 5/16 x 7 g5 is a warm up for this bend. for argument sake a g5 is 535 or so, this is 600. its a huge jump. this 9mm crs is just all around harder.

Damn! I feel like a puss now :)

Don't!!!! That's a huge bend 5/16 g5. Not many guys will ever reach that level of strength.

I was there at one time, but I'm working back up to it :) One more question because I don't want to hijack your thread, but what does a 7"Sexabastard from this year usually calibrate at? I have a few of these and no G5s so I'm gaging where I should start on Ivan's scale.

It's close to the g5 but the crush is stupid hard. The kink is really close.

Damn monster bend! That is the best bend honestly right now considering it was done in singles. Though I'm sure you have something bigger planned already. :)

awesome bend! Looked like a killer bar given how easy youve bent other stuff.

Quick question tho.. Isnt 200 kilos 440lbs? Whats the dilly dally?

Yes it would be 440 if it was calibrated to the American standard. The u-bolts are on the very ends not brought in .75" on each side. So that's 1.5" x (15% to 20%). It's like cutting 1.5" off a 7" bar rated at 440 that is 9mm thick. This beast was every bit of 600lbs. Edited by EJ Livesey

Tommy, here's the reply

Here is how we do it

qIGFn9oXDyE.jpg

As you can see we attach the clamps at the ends of the bar. That gives us numbers in kilos we got used to in Russia for last 4 years. I know Mike K. has calibrated the bars, stepping 3/4" from each side. To give imagination to our Western friends, we have RE-calibrated several DrillRod bars from Benders Battlefield, calibrated by Mike K. That allowed us to find the ratio between the numbers and estimate a range in lbs were our bar will fall with a chance of 99%.

That explains things! I knew something was up as i watched you fight that thing. I was thinking "okay, either EJ lost some strength (very unlikely) or he got a harder bar than 200 kilos" lol!

But now that you explain the rating it all makes sense. Word.

But I did lose some strength and toughness. I'm a big 'ol baby bitch now, lol

Thanks for checking it out. I'm getting my strength back and I'm feeling pretty good. I'm going to bend the 210kg (610-625) bar. That should be lots of fun.

Huge bend EJ! I also thought you would smoke it immediately and got confused when I saw that it actually gave you some resistance. But then I saw Ivan's explanation and that this bar would rather cal at about 600 in "the old way" of measuring. Now it makes sense. A 7" 600 bar is a huge bend in singles!

Hey Wiggy!!!! Good to hear from you. I'm glad you checked this out. It was a tough bar for sure, but I wanna go bigger in singles. Much bigger. The calibration is different, but I like it. Once you do the conversion it's much more understandable.

Nice is always bro!congrats

Thanks for checking it out Josh. We gotta get you bending again.

Did you chalk......your feet EJ? Lol. Nice bend man!! Looked tough. I bet it would be easy for you if you were well rested and in top form.

Yes I did, lol. My feet were sweaty and really slippery. It was tough and next bend I do, I will be well rested and ready for it. Thanks for checking it out.
