Chokers

If you use a hose clamp to get the gripper to, say, parallel; is there a danger that the hose clamp falls off (cant see what would hold it there), if so what do people do to prevent this? Hold with other hand? stick the clamp on somehow?

I guess the same question would be relevant if a 'washer type' choker was used.

Wrap athletic tape around the top of the gripper handle; then put your clamp on.

It grips into the tape helping it to stay a little better. Not perfect, but it's pretty good.

I used it to close the #3 it works well but will kill your set..that being said when you tighten it up it only slides down not up as it will not get over the spring. All I did was when it slipped after a close I would move it back up
