Sam Radford
Looks a solid bit of kit! From previous purchases from the states, i've had to pay duty once which was the flat rate of around £13. Think if it's marked as a gift you have a larger allowance before VAT applies??
Old Dax
I've had to pay duty once (and VAT) most times its not an issue. I have heard of people having to pay VAT on the total price (including P&P charge) which is not whats supposed to happen. If I have to pay, I will, though it could be anything up to £33. Sam Radford
I use this http://www.importcalculator.com/ to get a ball park figure on import costs. The total is in Euro's so just convert that in £

Old Dax
Still waiting! The tracker says item being held, addressee to be informed of charges. I guess that means I'll get a letter informing me of the charges I haven't been lucky enough to avoid.
Old Dax
Just paid (online) the charges: £15.60 import VAT + £8 handling might get it by Monday!
