Grind
Yesterday I went to Burcolo to see the final Strongest Man of the Netherlands. Great competition and Jitse Kramer just won at cost of Niels Gordijn. Very motivated to see these men in action. That's cool! Still on my wishlist, but I never know when it's going down. Plus it always seems to be in far away tiny villages. Did Jarno Hams compete or is he retired? How is your arm doing? Haven't been seeing much grippstuff from you lately? Still painfull? I've had a lot of tendonitis the last couple of years and what helped me the best is triggerpoint massage. I use an armaid for this. Without something like that it's very hard to put enough pressure on the painfull points. It is however unfortunately a fairly expensive tool. Finals are always in july. I will inform you next year. Jarno intended to compete but had to pull out because of health issues and had to have a surgery. I think he will retire now. Last year he was defeated by Alex who became champion. The arm is doing much better. Normal gym training was hard enough for my left arm. I use a golf ball for the massage and it helps a lot. I have no problem to create enough pressure with it. I have done some light gripper work and intend to get back to grip training soon.

Royz
Oh man he had to bend over backwards and did a sort of standing bench press with that stone! Impressive, but not something he would want to do very often...
Grind
That's the way with strongman. These stones are awkward objects to handle. In the past there was more focus and thus training on these objects. I was glad to see it back in a competition. I will search for some lighter stones so I can also train with them. Geralt
Nice loglifts Mark. Pressing neutral gripper really sound much more comfortable. Is this also your experience?
Grind
They were very light because of the rehab of the pelvis. It depends, the hammer grip position taxes the brachialis a lot more. I've had an injury and could not do them for more than 1 year. I don't have any problems with a clean grip A log is for some very uncomfortable because you have to lean back and tilt your head up. I like pressing the log.

Grind
At a strongman competition (sterkste man van zevenkamp 2010) I did 220kg deadlift and popped some muscles at the pelvis and I just pulled through. After this pull my pelvis and right lower leg were slanting and injured my low back. I did rehab for 6 months at a physio but he did only part of the job. Some injured muscles had triggerpoints and could not recover. This resulted in years of back and pelvis pain and other physio's that treated only the symptoms. In 2013 the pains got worse and I went to a chiro. That did not work because the problem was in the muscles. All these years I kept lifting very heavy and that offishly made things worse. In 2014 I went to a physio that specializes in the pelvis region. This year I stopped training my lower body to make sure I could not tear something up. We found out the the iliapsoas was full of triggerpoints (very bad). After 3 monts of dry-needling and a lot of stretches we got the muscle healty. The gluteus medius and quadratus lomborum were also very sick (triggerpoints). All these 3 muscles stabilizes your pelvis so my pelvis was not stable doing deads and squats. After 5 years I hope I can leave this hell behind and start lifting pain free and making some gains I should have made years ago.
