InchDB

right hand

3x1x51kg

1x1x57kg

1x1x63kg

1 attempt with 69kg (lifted only a bit)

5x1x63kg

The first lifts were sooo good - I was totally convinced that I would do 6 singles with 69kg, but things worked out different.... :flame

left hand

3x1x51kg

1x1x57kg (those lifts were extremely easy!!)

1 attempt with 63kg (lifted only 20cm - so the same as with the right hand....)

6x1x57kg (very easy...)

pull up (rolling bars)

4x6x53mm (uuh, those pull ups are not my thing, that's why I will start training them more than chin ups)

warmed up with DO Axle Cleans

I never gave this exercise a try so first I had to play with it a bit and find out what I can do. I dipped more at more with my knees as the weight gets heavier.

3x1x55kg

1x1x60kg

1x1x65kg

1x1x70kg

1x1x75kg

1x1x80kg

1x1x85kg

1 attempt with 90kg ended near chest level.

I don't really know if this is good for the first try but the movement felt really good and warmed up my hands. Normally I do DO Axle DLs or mixed grip Axle DLs to get warm before the InchDB stuff but today I did several hours of shovel work in the garden (also yesterday) and I simply did not feel to lift heavy. So this exercise came more by accident.

InchDB

right hand

1x1x51kg

1x1x57kg

1x1x63kg

1 attempt with 63kg (+2,5kg) - up tp 25cm

1 attempt with 63kg (+1kg) - up to 10cm

1x1x63kg - happy with my lifts after all this physical labor...

left hand

1x1x51kg

1x1x57kg

3x1x57kg (+3,5kg)

Blob

right hand

1x1x30/35/40#

2xBlob50 (out of 6 attempts)

left hand

1x1x30/35/40#

6 attempts with the Blob50 (best up tp 10cm)

fatbar work

DO Axle cleans up tp 3x3x70kg

InchDB

right hand

1x1x51kg

1x1x57kg

6x1x63kg (could have added a bit of weight but for the moment I'm happy with that - next time...)

left hand

1x1x51kg

1x1x57kg

1x63kg (up to 30cm - not too bad but not where I was in April...)

1x1x57kg (+3,5kg) too easy!!

6x1x57kg (+5kg) all good lifts! Wondering why the 63kg did not went up all the way?!

Finished off with farmerswalks - up to 90kg each side (which equals my bodyweight right now). Feeling extremely weak due to not doing this exercise for a long time. Will do this on a regular basis now. Handle size on my farmers are regular.

fatbar

InchDB

right hand

3x1x51kg

1x1x57kg

6x1x63kg

left hand

3x1x51kg

1x1x57kg

6x1x57kg (+6kg!)

Both hands did not feel really strong because I did some hard work in the garden - so I am really happy with my performance today. For the left hand I attached so much weight like never before and all lifts were absolutely under control! For the right hand I always take 6x63kg as a good base for getting into new territory.

Blob work

left and right hand

1x1x30/35/40#

6 attempts with Blob50 (lifted it only a few cms most times, right handed a near full deadlift but dropped it, hands felt good but I could not get a really good grip on the implement)

Did not do InchDB on purpose to be in top condition on Monday after a very light session on Friday!

light stuff today - and even lower volume than normal

InchDB: 6x1x51kg each hand - let's see what Monday will bring...

Was sick - so no training until today....

InchDB

3x1x51kg

1x1x57kg

1x1x63kg

1 attempt with 63kg (+2,5kg) - nothing...

2x1x63kg (+1kg)

2x1x63kg

left hand

3x1x51kg

1x1x57kg

1 attempt with 57kg (+6kg) - up tp 30cm...

4x1x57kg (+5kg)

Not the peak performance I hoped for - little frustrated about that....

Fatbar

Rolling handle (with ball bearings, handle diameter: 57mm, weight of apparatus: 3kg, weights listed only plate weight), equally hard as a really good RT)

right/left hand

1x1x45, 55, 60, 62,5 kg; right hand only: 65kg , 0x67,5kg

Gripmachine (plateloadable, parallel handles, bothhanded)

4x1x25kg

I trained crush only two years (from 2003-2005), so I try to get a good feeling first before I start moving heavier weights in a few weeks.

Finished with light shot rotations.

Gripmachine (plateloadable, parallel handles, bothhanded)

4x1x25kg

I forgot to mention that I put the moving part of the handle just on the last cms of the fingers - to have a better carry over to fatbar.

Blob and InchDB:

Tried the Blob50 after a warm up and did NOT succeed! Frustrated I continued with the 40 pounder for some reps.

InchDB was better - the 63kg was pretty light for my right hand abd I did budge it with my left hand.

This was done for speed - really tried to slam the handles shut!

FatDB Cleans (6cm diameter handle)

3x2x35kg (each hand) - those felt much better than expected, movement done as fast as possible

Blob Cleans (each hand, in alternating fashion)

Yesterdays training was not a real training. I did meet up with my old grip buddy Martin and we did some random grip stuff.

All I can say is that on the one hand side he showed me clearly where my weak points are but on the other hand side it became obvious that the InchDB is doable for me - at least I'm sure it is.

No real training these days - or do I have to say I'm doing "real world training" !? I have to do a LOT of pickaxe and shovel work in my garden. This will take several weeks. In the meantime I will only do light to no training. Today I'll play a bit with my new grip tool - the Sidewinder Pro Xtreme 3! Fun stuff!! Also looking forward to my set of Python Grip Power Twisters.... :mosher

Had some strength left today so I decided to do a quick training - at least I wanted to reduce my back pain from the work and did hyperextensions and hanging leg raises. Back was pain free after that so I decided to InchDB:

right hand

2x1x51kg

1x1x63kg

1x1x69kg !!

2x1x63kg

1x1x51kg (as a halfhearted clean attempt)

left hand

2x1x51kg

1 attempt with 63kg DB (lifted to about mid shin which is not too bad for me)

3x1x57kg

1x1x51kg (also a halfhearted clean attempt)

Blobs felt good but after 8 attempts to do the Blob50 I gave up. Went up around 25cm right hand, to 5cm left hand.
