Light squats on Tuesday

Today

V-Bar

worked up to 205, 210 with the left

With the right just did grippers

3 silver bullet holds, all under 10 seconds

Closed my GHP 6 and a grand master

I was able to lift the blob twice with each hand today, which usually doesn't happen

Squats

225 for 2 sets of 5, 2 x 3 and 5 singles

Between sets i did some light gripper closes with the right and lifted the blob50 with left for 5 singles.

Just returned from the Canadian nationals. I did better than i expected. i did all the events except silver bullet and the medley left handed due to tendonitis in my right elbow I won my class and was second overall to Eric. This was my second contest , and first where I had a limited number of attempts. I pulled 93 lbs on the one hand pinch, i missed it on my third attempt due to a poor setup, then wasted my fourth attempt at that weight. After the event was done, i tried 98 and smoked it.

I pulled 189 on the rolling thunder, which I was really happy with since I had missed 180 a bunch in training,

On v-bar, i pulled 233. Never done this event before Saturday

On silver bullet i hit 23 seconds which is a PR.

The medley went well i hit 21 of 25 implements. I missed the inch, blob50, 2 35s and the FBBC bomb.

I was very happy with my lifts and gained some more valuable experience and relearned a lot of French, as i was the only non-french speaking contestant. About half way through I was able to stop asking the other guys what the weight was.

Eric runs a great contest. Ill definitely make the trip again.

Thanks Frank, I was really happy with it.. The euro, the v-bar and some of the medley items I had never done before on the actual implements. Crushed a red right after we finished as well.

First lift since the Canadians. Squatted and did some light grippers.

Worked up to 275 x 3 for 2 sets on the squat and closed ghp6, and my grand master with the right

Also did some blob50, got it 3 times with each hand.

Concentrating on axle, I would like to hit 400 by the end of may. If my kids schedule allows it I am going to try to compete in Ohio in June.

I sliced one of my fingers pretty good on Sunday so I won't be doing any two handed lifts for a bit.

Pulled the weights outside and did axle in the driveway. Pulled up to 315, stopped there. Wasn't feeling very good

Pushed the prowler and did some log press and carries.

170 with the left, missed with the right

Did about 10 blob50 lifts with the left. Didn't get any with the right, one time about half way
