Electron
How is everybody's progress? I've picked up the gripper bug yet again and am hitting PRs.I've been training block set to do better at my next contest. Also, hitting coin holds a lot because I've realized that my body responds well to volume. Recently: Closed my GNC200(117ish) from a block set, and my GNC200(121) from MMS. My #2.5 is just 1/16th away from being shut. Getting closer and closer to a #2 coin hold for 30 seconds. My immediate goal is to be able to do 10 block set reps on my #2(105), both hands, by the 1st of Nov.
Electron
My GNC200(121) has been closed now from a block set. I was also just 1/32" off from having my #2.5(123) from a block set as well. On the 1st of November, it was my goal to get 10 block reps on my #2(105). I got only 5. For some reason that day, my hands were not feeling strong. hellswindstaff
I guess I could.... doing the dogleg positioning from memory because I dont have a gripper with me, but I think that it's going to be WAY back on my thumbpad like near the joint. It seems to only be a problem with max effort closes at 25 pennies width (which I just looked up and is 63.75mm dunno apparently if that's correct) or wider. I've never really trained grippers at that width because... well I don't remember why... that could have been something that I noticed early on and forgot though. I no longer have this problem because I extensively focused on short range closes with a CCS width start
Electron
Glad this thread has resurfaced. I've gotten stronger. A month ago, I closed the 2.5 from an MMS for 3 reps in one session. Today, I closed Tommy's BBSM(117) from a 1.5" block set. I've slowly realized that my setting is my weak link in grippers, and have taken my full body strength more seriously.
