mobsterone
Crush Grippers Firstly I'd like to see if I can crack the 3.5 and 4 Ironmind grippers again. It may involve opening up (letting the moths free) of my wallet and getting more grippers. Back when I was based in Gloucester I had 40+. Now it's more like twelve or so. I'll still have nothing on Mighty Joe but a few shiny toys might be nice. I may see if there are any for sale here and via the GB too. The Mark Henry Dumbbell Challenge I've contacted MHP (via both their site and facebook) and emailed Terry Todd. According to their site they offered a $10,000 USD bounty at this years Arnold. That's well worth training for. I've had zero reply thus far but training has begun. I've had a look but can't find a photo I'm sure I've seen here of the 300lb beast in it's crate. Can anyone help me? Thanks Even though I rarely pop my head out into the back and forth of the rest of the forum I see my training log still gets the hits. If I start kicking ass in earnest for the above challenges please drop by and say hi and offer tips and suggestions. If I'm successful at the Arnold I might even get a round of beers in Edited November 23, 2014 by mobsterone

Jared Goguen
I'm surprised there’s no good photos of the The Mark Henry Dumbbell, this is the best I could find. I remember reading some where that he wanted the machine shop making it for him to have been less then 300lbs but a mistake in the calculations made it that much. mobsterone
That's the one I've seen. The one I'm thinking off is a direct over the top shot into the crate.

Florian Kellersmann
Could you use the box wall to stop/minimize the Rotation?
Too Tall
It has to be a clean lift out of the box! You cannot use the box to help in any way to complete the lift. Steve...didn't you try to lift this DB that first year like we all did at Mighty Mitts?
Florian Kellersmann
Thanks for clarifying that, Chad! As much as I would like to see Steve or someone else lifting the MH Bell, I think a clean lift is not realistic. The money is safe.

Jose Cabrera
If anyone has a shot at that thing, i have my money on Steve,Juha or Jedd. What is the handle size on that bell? Anybody know the dimensions?

Anybody know the dimensions? Didn't Andrew Durniat give it a tiny little bit of air at the Mighty Mitts competition?
Jose Cabrera
Damn, i totally forgot Andrew, yup hes definitely someone to keep an eye on also.
jvance
Chris James did 700# DO rack pull with 2.6"... I think that qualifies him as the most likely to lift the MH bell.

Chris feats are crazy! Hard to believe! I would love to see more fat dumbbell lifts from Chris!
Alawadhi
Brian Shaw and Lain Snook (sp?) are the best candidates for this lift. However, Steve you have my full vote over this and I think with right training and dedication you can do it
