Anthony C.
So the other day I went to do a little pinch, and I noticed that my pinch blocks wouldn't hold chalk at all. Like, at all. As a result, my lifts were a fraction of what they would normally be. My apartment gets extremely cold in the winter and the blocks, being steel, were also freezing. Was just wondering to what extent does the weather and temperature affect grip components? Is this normal? Or maybe I was just having an off day... climber511
Temp and humidity have a huge effect on all the friction lifts. Try breathing a little warm and moist breath on your hands in those conditions just before you do the lift - see if that helps.
Autolupus
Yep, can play a big part in pinch lifts!
IROC-Z
My pinch lifts tend to go up in the winter when the air is dryer. My home gym never gets below 65 degrees, though.
