I understand coc are of better quality but where I live they are double the price of heavy grips.i have a strength shop 100 a hg 150 and a strength shop 200. cant decide wether to get a coc trainer or a hg 200 and hg250 for the same price. my strength shop 100 gripper has a wider sweep than my hg 150 which I feel pumps my forearm up better even though its easier I feel a pump in an extra part further up my forearm which makes me want a coc. sorry bout my wimpy grippers but I am trying lol

Grippers are not for pumping up the forearms.

They are for getting a strong Crush.

Hg, i had a couple and my friend has a couple still, they suck. So inconsistent and bad :D

I say, order from cannonpowerworks.com.

Cannon carries all the good brands.

You get what you pay for.

I am 31 years old been lifting for fun at home for years. nothing outstanding im 6ft 101kg dont use hands manually at work as im a picker for amazon though I seen recently allan fisher mentioning he squeezez the steering wheel while driving which has made the muscle on side of his hand like concrete so could squeeze my cart at work. ive been using fatty extremes for nearly a year but it hasnt helped my crushing strength

hg's are all over the place in strength, spread, and durability. the coc's are a much better investment, hands down.

where does an hg150 stand next to a coc I hear people say it's like a trainer so I should probably start there am guessing. I can probably knock out over 10 with an hg150. pathetic I know lol even if a trainers too light im guessing it will always be needed for warming up as even with the hg150 my knuckles hurt the first rep. even my 10th rep although fatigued seems easier due to no pain

read what we wrote dude.

HGs Do not stand next to any gripper in the superior coc brand.

They vary tooooo much. They suck. In all ways possible.

HG were my first grippers, closed the hg200 then the 250 and could only close the captain's of crush #3 after repping out a filed hg300!

They vary a lot and have a short spread

Dog,

If you are on a budget, try to find some used higher quality grippers for sale on here. Matt has great products no doubt, and I love ordering from him, but sometimes used is the way to go if you are on a budget.

If you are interested in filed or extended ROM grippers, I have some 5/8" handle Beef Builders from Tetting that I could help you out with. These are lighter grippers that may be in your close range that I have no use for any longer. They helped me reach my goals and I can part with them really cheap to help out a new gripster. They are a BB Advanced and a Super Advanced and both grippers have been rated. PM me if you are interested. I also just acquired another COC Trainer in a bundle purchase that I really have no need for that I could part with pretty cheap as well.

It all comes down to personal preference. I found some of the reviews on them that the common thing mention is that HG's have less width which is true. I owned one HG and I hated it, but I also started with COC's and have very large hands so I might be biased.

I look at it this way, if you want to put your name up on the COC #3 and possibly #4 cert then you really need to use COC's but if certs aren't a concern then go with cheaper but the resistance are sketchy at times and not consistent.

With the gripper probably lasting longer than your life time I would just go COC. But to each is own.
