Still Got It Red Nail In One Imp

Tried to make a comeback a couple months ago, but I got sidetracked. Just to busy and to focosed in other areas to have the time to bend. I wish everyday was 25 hours, so I could have one extra hour of bending every day lol.

Saw my buddy Juha Lähtimäki bend the red in one IMP, so I wanted to see if I could still do it. Yes I could, barely. Got one of those small blood blisters on my right palm now, haven't had one of those in a few years. My palms have gotten softer from me not abusing them anymore. Anyway, thank you for watching. This was a fun bend.

Nice!! Never really tried one of the single wrap bends but it looks pretty nasty.

Thank you Carl! I think you could do it if you tried and really went for it.

Unreal that this is your base, awesome work Wiggy! :bow

Thanks Jose! You'll probably be ahead of me soon enough. Especially since you're already bending 7" squares in one IMP and you're still relatively new at this stuff.

So would you say it's not really much harder but that it's way more painful and that makes it harder?

BTW Peter, if you're reading this, that Red nail was the one I got from you.

I'd still say it's quite a bit harder even without factoring in the pain. But the pain add another dimension of difficulty to it.

Nice David. These youngins weren't around to see the glorious barehand battles. This is a very legit bend, especially considering you don't even bend regularly.

This makes me jealous. Am I the only veteran bender that can't do this?

yes. But you are long time iron hand competitor which gives you advantage

Very impressive bending by Wiggy. Maybe someday i can bend reds like that.

Thank you brothers!

Sharkey, I still have nightmares from those days lol!

Ej, I think you could do it if you gave it a little time experimenting with grip positioning. You have well enough strength and hand toughness for it!

Yes, you still do have it Wiggy! Amazing how you can comeback from a layoff and smash a bend like this. Great work brother!!

btw- I'm loving seeing these single imp bends. I'd have a hard time doing a yellow nail in one imp! ha!

Grip positioning is most of it. Doing that L bar the first couple hits no way I could apply force but I kept moving my grip a tad and found one that wasn't unbearable. First hit is the worst then gets easy from there.

Thank you Sean! Well I still train my grip and wrists hard so most of the associated muscles are strong. The technique is second nature for me at this point. And that specific bending strength is probably going to stay for a long time just from having me specialize in it for so many years.

Thank you Nick! It honestly felt hard though. Sweep and crush gave me a fight.

Thank you Hannes! Technique was always my strength. It was the only reason why I even had a chance of competing with any of you true monsters, like yourself! How is your AW training going?
