Also, I've been having a rough bout of golf elbow in my left arm for the past few months. I started taking orange triad about 3 weeks ago and it's completely cleared up. Could have just cleared up on its own, but my joints and tendons in general have felt awesome despite going pretty heavy and doing a lot of things that should have aggravated it lately. Just based on that I'd give it a thumbs up.

I kept the weight and reps for this day but decided to do Spoto presses instead. I scaled back instead of using my true max so it's pretty easy yet.

Yeah I'm thinking that even though the weight doesnt seem too heavy yet, it's still gonna be a lot of weight for the amount of volume I'm gonna be doing with it. I just realized that by the time I hit my 6x6 week, I'll be hitting 48 reps with 345 in one week.

Looks like it's time to bump the calories up a bit.

That's what I was looking at when I came up with my working weight. What's "doable" if I push.

I'll see how I'm feeling by my 6x6 week. Depending on how hard that is, I may switch to 90% of my max from that point on.

455x4x4

Bench:

345x3x4

Had to stop due to bad pain in my right elbow. Did a multiplicity of dumb things this weekend that contributed to this, so I don't think it's necessarily from lifting. Gonna consider this my 6x2 day and try 6x4 again on Friday.

Heal up man. I want to see you make it right through this thing.

At least you had the good sense to stop, which I don't always have. You'll be back stronger than before like the Six Million Dollar Man.

Yeah, gonna give it until Friday before I try to do anything again. Started to pull lighter-weight singles for deads today but by the 7th single I could tell it was acting up again so stopped. Doesn't feel nearly as bad as it did yesterday though.

Deads:

(Was supposed to be 425x12x1)

425x7x1

Bench (yesterday):

315x5x5, slight to moderate elbow pain.

Deads (today):

WU

525x4

465x3x4

Elbow pain slightly better than yesterday

Keeping volume and/or weight to a reasonable minimum while trying to not make backwards progress as this heals up

Back on track with the Russian routine

20x20

Bunch of sets of 80lb x 20 reps. Lost count as I just kept doing these between other things

Bench:

Forgot that today was supposed to be my light day. That makes 54 reps with 345 this week. Shoulders hate me.

135x8

225x6

315x1, CG, long pause

335x1, CG, long pause

345x6x5

225x5, CG, long pauses

Felt really explosive today

Lateral raises:

25x10

35/25/15/10x8

Rope pull-downs:

120x10

100x3x10

Tendons were feeling cranky so I didn't go crazy here.

Damn good at this point in the cycle yet. Lots of volume for 80%

I'm really starting to feel it now. Depending on how my 6x6 week feels, I may knock 5-10lb off of the projected weights for the remaining weeks to make sure it's doable.

I'm into my assistance stuff now and I know my shoulders are sure feeling it. Backing off of the board pressing assistance stuff tonight.

Same. Even doing Tate presses or pull-ups is starting to kill.
