I like it. I think 3x5 is more reasonable than 5x5 but it's a solid program.

It reinforces the fact that n00bz need to squat more than one a week.

It's a good basic program but a ripoff from imo better programs like Bill Starr 5x5 and Starting Strength from Mark Rippetoe.

hmmmm.... I will check those out

Buy "Starting Strength" and "Practical Programming"! Great Investment!!!

Wendler 5/3/1 is also very good and quite a bit more flexible than Stronglifts or Starting Strength.

You won't get better instruction than Rippetoe though.

I prefer WSBB as far as PL goes. 5x5 works fine as a base program (the original and any variant Bill wrote in The Strongest Shall Survive work well) Rippetoe, Madcow, Stronglifts are all 3rd party variants after the fact and have worked better for some than others. What it comes down to is who is using the routine and for what purpose, no recommendation should be given without 1st understanding the current condition of the person the routine will be for.
