BIG ANNOUNCEMENT! Just arrived at our Minnesota headquarters from Austria: Spectrum by Baraban—custom, exclusive grippers designed for Cannon PowerWorks customers! There are 10 levels (including narrows) in an array of 5 eye-catching colors.

I'm very excited about this new product.

Wonder what the difference is compared to the original RB grippers.

I've been meaning to post and announcement here! We announced on FaceBook yesterday.

11219007_848808771820825_264949119161939

Spectrum is a line of branded Baraban grippers made for CPW. "Spectrum" is a play on words for two reasons. There will be 5 color options at each level. Blue, black, red, orange, and green. The second reason is because all of them will be pre-rated so you can fill gaps in your spectrum of ratings. Strengths are CPW 100 through CPW 330 (Baraban's classic numbering). However starting at CPW 240 they are all narrow which even further makes them unique. We're looking for this line to heavily service the "usuable" range of grippers and the narrow grippers will create a ton of overlap in some hard to service ranges. They are stamped "CPW" on one handle and the level on the other. Some of the quantities are limited!

That picture was taken while Kristy was unboxing them, fresh from Austria. That's not even everying that has arrived and we've only received about 1/3rd of the line so far! :yikes

Are they similar to the normal Barabans? I have bought some directly from here (He lives only round 4hours from me).

What do you mean? They are Baraban grippers and would only be different as described above.

Colored, pre-rated, stamped "CPW"

Matt, how narrow are the narrow ones and what colour springs (I have some RBs with black handles & chrome springs, but some of the chrome is flaking off nowadays).

If I was running such a business I'd be broke because I'd keep all the grippers to myself. :happy

Matt, if you don't mind me asking, how many grippers are we talking about?

After reading the grip well with David Horne i am not very excited about this news. Oh well thats just my opinion. I have respect for DH enough more then for Baraban to stay away from Barabans products.

10 strengths!

The "narrow" grippers stand at about 2.5" between the handles. Which, consequently, I feel is about the ideal width for a gripper. Maybe that just suits my hand.

Just an added note that the standard spread grippers (the lighter strengths) are all about 3" spread.

10 strengths!

I was asking about the quantity of RB grippers for sale so we know what to expect. For example, if there are less than 50 I expect that they will be sold within a few minutes of updating the website, that's if the website doesn't crush lol.

I know some people have an issue with RB copies of products (Vulcan?) but I have six RB grippers and are all great quality / feel (aside from the chrome issue I mentioned). The only other downside is their historic variability, but this is no problem if Matt is rating them.

Oh, we're getting hundreds but the quantities are heaviest at the middle levels that are the most popular. But, for example, if you really want a red CPW 100, there are only like 3.

Right. We went with the natural polished springs, not the chrome by the way.

When can we expect to order these? Very excited for more Baraban grippers

We need to get them rated and the first wave should be up over the long weekend!

Also, how much will they cost? Thanks Matt.

$34.50/ea. They are an imported gripper that regularly retails for $29.99 but then ours are anodized with the colors and will also be pre-rated.

Thanks for all that info, much appreciated. Let us know here a few hours in advance if possible when they're gonna be up on the website (I imagine in the pre-rated section with the drop down menu). It's my birthday on Sunday which is a great excuse to buy some grippers without the wife complaining :D

They will have their own collection and you'll see the 10 strengths with an average rating as usual. When you click on one of the strengths then all the variants will be listed in order of rating and what color for each.
