Review Of Diesel Crew's Rating Service

Hey all,

First off, I'd like to say that I like to support ALL sponsors of the Gripboard and take my business to them before any other website/store. Recently, I had five or six grippers or so lying around that I bought without having rated first, and have always wondered what they rate. I decided to contact Jedd, as I read that he rates people's personal grippers.

My experience was 5 out of 5 stars. First off, whether you contact Jedd through PM on gripboard or through his email, he responds extremely fast. Like, within the same hour fast. For the fastest response, email is best. You are also communicating directly with Jedd, not a customer service rep. I don't know about anybody else, but in this day and age, I still appreciate the personal touch when making a purchase.

I mailed my grippers out and the whole time they were in shipment, Jedd was corresponding with me. Updating me on tracking, making visits to the post office to see if they were in yet, etc. He was trying to get me the quickest possible service with the holidays right around the corner. When they arrived, he rated them that same day and had them shipped back out to me the same day. I had the grippers back in my possession 2 days after he received them and rated them.

I have to say, I had an ebay business for several years and have a lot of experience dealing with customers, and the post office. So I know how this stuff goes, and quite frankly the level of service you get with Jedd and DieselCrew is unmatched. Do I promise the same results for every single customer? Obviously not. But what I can say is that Jedd will take care of your order in the absolute fastest manner he possibly can. He has a passion for this sport and is not in the business simply to make a buck.

A few other little things that I noticed and appreciated:

-I sent my grippers out all dirty and full of chalk. When I opened the package upon return, i got a whiff of WD40. He cleaned them up well.

-He wrote the rating in marker on both sides of the tag, so I could see the number from the shoebox I keep my grippers in.

-He put the rating tag on the dogleg of the grippers, so I no longer have to pay attention to which handle I'm putting in my hand (if you're a lazy guy like me, you'll appreciate this).

-Ratings were not rounded up or down but were given to the exact decimal (ie my COC 2.5 was like 125.189383 or something).

Awesome write-up Anthony, I have a few unrated ones that I'd like to get done.

Was happy to do it. I'd definitely go for it tom!

Thanks a lot for the notes here guys. Anthony, I am super pumped that you were so pleased. I try to do be as fast as possible with all orders, especially grippers, because I know they are so dear to people and I know they can't get training in on them when they are here at my place.

I have developed a very strict process for all my ratings. I aim to control every single variable I can when I am rating grippers, especially when there are so many other variables that I can not control (handle spread, set depth, knurling quality, etc).

I look forward to continuing this part of the business in 2014. Please feel free to email me at jedd.diesel@gmail.com to have your ratings performed in as timely a manner as possible.

Jedd, you could make some significant money renting out "rated contest gripper packages" to contest promoters. Just a nice range of rated grippers (@ 55lb RGC to @ 185lbs) that are all rated by YOU alone. That way, the integrity of the ratings is not in question. Most contests have grippers that are rated by multiple RGC operators. I mentioned this idea months ago to Matt Cannon too. I will try to find the name of the guy who contacted me on e-mail at the first of 2013. He wanted to pay me $200 to loan him a full set of rated grippers. About 20 of them. For a week. I had already sold most of my grip stuff by then and I actually referred him to you and Matt. I'm surprised you never heard from him. He seemed very sincere and tried to PayPal me $100 just to prove that he wasn't wasting my time.

Plus, the above guy had an attorney on retainer (not for grip stuff) that he said would be happy to draw up some legal rental docs so I could guarantee getting my grippers back.
