I made an attempt at my RB280N (136lb.) gripper today and just missed it. I'd have to check my log, but I don't think I've ever gotten this gripper shut. It would tie my PR of 136 RGC, but it feels like a harder gripper throughout the close.

Yeah the RB grippers I've owned always seem a bit harder. Might be sure to handle diameter. Always inspired by this log, great read.

Thanks man! I think it is is. I have two 136lb. grippers ... the RB and a #2.5, and the CoC is definitely easier (for me) to close. The RB actually feels closer to my easier #3.

#3 (139lbs.)

Today was the day I finally closed the CoC #3! I posted the video in the main Gripboard forum. I wasn't immediately certain, at first, as I couldn't feel the handles mash. But, after looking through the video frame-by-frame/slo-mo, it looked like I had a few points that the handles just touched. I almost didn't post about it, due to having wanted to "dominate" the close for my first official #3 close. But, if this was really it, I had to post it, regardless of how strong the close was.

I've also been doing a lot of BTR training, which skews the feel a little when closing regular grippers. Dead squats today were brutal. Worse than last week. I'm going to do these for a few more weeks, maybe with some regular stuff mixed in.

Hands are hurting pretty good now. A lot of days, the crushing power is up-and-down. For instance, last week, I closed my easy #3 (barely), but felt strong. The past day, I could barely close my 123lb. #2.5.

I only had 35 minutes to train today ... sick wife and kid. I was able to get some decent work in, but it turned into a sprint, which ended up giving me a pretty good pump. Floor presses felt pretty weak (haven't done them in months). I missed my first attempt at 185 standing press about halfway up, ended up taking a minute and trying it again for a slow, but good rep.

I'm not sure why the spacing is messed up now.  Stuff I had previously single-spaced is now double-spaced?  I don't see any way to change it, but am going to look around on the new format stuff ... hopefully find something to fix it.

I decided I am going to do a raw meet in March.  The fed is 100% Raw.  The only thing that is going to be tough for me is that they don't allow knee wraps, or even sleeves.  With all of my knee issues, this is going to be tough.  But, aside from that, my raw bench and deads have been doing pretty good lately.  I had trained for that raw meet back in December that ended up getting cancelled, and have been dying to get back out there again.

My hands are feeling pretty beat-up.  Warm-ups on grippers today were really weak, with me almost missing my 123lb. #2.5.  :ohmy  I tried my 133lb. RB 280N and missed it by a few mm.  With KTA, I've come to expect this now, with the roving ups-and-downs.  I'm trying to fight through the pain, and not let these "downs" affect me too much.

This was the first time I made any attempt at real "pause" squats.  They were tough!  Since I have a 100% Raw meet coming up, and they don't allow knee wraps or knee sleeves, I did these without any knee protection.  Having two bad knees (one surgically repaired), it was a challenge.  But, I'm trying to train raw squat smart, while still going a little heavy, but not pushing it too much.
