Sam Radford
Have spent some time going through the thread and looking at the photo's of the rig hoping to replicate it as I have all the materials and equipment. I understand that the chain length is to be 10" long and the U clamps set in 0.75" from the end of the bar. Then bend the bar to 30 degrees? Is there anything else I have missed?

This info is all correct BUT the human error will occur. the bend needs to be done slowly, very slowly. You put 100lbs on the rig and yank hard or fast enough a red nail will bend and we all know that a red will cal at 420-440.

Sam Radford
When it states '0.75" in from the end" . . . does the 0.75" mark lie in the centre of the U bolt clamp?
Tim71
Yes it's in the center of the U-bolt clamp.
