Wade's Log

Hi everyone! I'm excited to share my training log with like-minded people. I train grip monday and friday every week. I do full body strength training at the gym tuesday and thursday. I'm 6'2" and weigh 175 lb.

Right now I'm focusing on a few grip exercises. I plan on adding more exercises in the future.

I currently own the V2 Vulcan, Coc#2.5 and #3, as well as a heavygrip 100.

Here are a few of my most recent training logs. You'll notice right now I'm really focusing on repetitions with the Vulcan. For the sets with the vulcan, 1 set = 10 Credit card repetitions in a row.

Well I tried uploading the pictures twice and their still sideways.

hi. perhaps i'm stupid or doing something wrong. first thing = i don't mean to knock or promote any particular brand of gripper. i have one of Davids Vulcans, with the orange springs. and also a couple of Randalls Captains. my question is, i think i'm doing well on the Vulcan, but i'm crap at the CoC's. does one not lead to get better at the other? thank you for any tips/advice. oh by the way i'm or i will be 50 next month. if age has any factor. again, thank you.

It will make the other stronger. But they are diffrent. The torsion spring grippers ramp up the tension much more radical, while The Vulcan ramps up more gradual. If you just want to get a stronger crushing grip it dosen't matter which one you use. But if you want to get cerified for the COC you will need at least a transistion phase with the COC's at the end to get used to it.

thanks Jorg. well, i have no spaceship ideas to certify on any gripper, either CoC nor Mash. both are world class , no matter what anybody says. but i think it's a brilliant sport. amazing= i don't know anyone here who trains grip. i mean here in Ireland. but thanks Jorg for your response.
