PeterSweden
I know I've read the persumed ratings on the mm grippers before but I cant remember where. Anyone who knows ?
PeterSweden
Nvm, found it! "Jordan, while they've never been rated, we do have a good idea from many comparisons given by those who have closed them. MM1 - High 150s like 158-159 MM2 - Low 160s like 163-165 MM3 - Low 180s like 180-183 MM4 - Mid 180s like 184-186 MM5 - Low 190s like 191-193 MM6 - High 190s like 197-199. Anyone who has closed these grippers is welcome to weigh in and correct what I've said. These are just the best I can recall. "
Chez
MM1 is lower like 153. other than that the list is very pretty accurate. I feel the estimates are more in line with Chris Rice's ratings. Cannon's rating tend to be more conservative.

PeterSweden
Okey, I went to the doctor on monday and they think that I have a hernia and might need an operation. Im waiting for an xray. Long waiting list.....2-4 months. Ok, anyways. Trained grip today. 5x10 seated hammercurls with 15 kg dumbells, explosive up, slowly down. Hub warmup. Working: 4x holds til failure @ 20,4kg hub. One month ago I could not get air under it. Today I did long holds. PR. 2x holds til failure @ 17kg blockweight. 2x holds til failure @ 17kg block+2kg 5x holds til failure @ 18,9kg hub. 1x cheat rep on the 20kg blockweight. Cant lift this one anymore. Think its due to fatigue and grippers. 3x holds til failure @ 17kg blockweight. 3x holds til failure @ Deep 18,9kg hubs. One each hand. I alternated between hub and blocks from start til end. Not much rest time. Forearms; 2x20@22,5kg climbercurl 2x10@30kg reverse bicepcurl 1x20@20kg reverse biccurl 2x20@10kg climbercurl 1x10@15kg dumbells hammercurl Died alittle in my arms Im thinking about cutting out blockweights for a while. I dont seem to progress on them atm...hub tho, keeps going up every session.
JoshW
Sorry to hear about your back, I know from experience how bad they can be, mine took a year to heal and I can still feel the after effects on bad days.
PeterSweden
You had a hernia? I think my disc is cracked.
JoshW
Was never quite sure what the problem actually was but it was cutting the blood supply to my legs. How did you manage that?
PeterSweden
I dont know. Had problems on and off for like 12 years. The problem got alittle worse every time it came back. I was never fully 100% good either. First it irritated my every day life, then it killed my jujutsu and muay thai training, mainly the kicking. Then regular boxning started to give me problems too. Tried going to a chiro lots of times but it never got better really. Then it was hurting my powerlifting. Now its so bad that Im afraid of lifting at all really. I move and stand up like a 100 yr old on and off. What makes me happy is that benching and rowing isnt a problem and neither is grip training, except for maybe euro pinch and Rolling thunder atm. Durrs
I know how frustrating and debilitating a painful back can be. I have had issues on and off since I was very young ranging from not being able to tie my shoe and having shooting pain down my leg to just minor discomfort. Weakness in my hips and core had a lot to do with these back pain incidents coming on. I pushed the core exercises like full situps, back extension pause reps, GHR, and for the hips I do side lying leg raises that you see chicks do in the gym, I do 2-3 sessions a week of the hip leg raises 30-50reps x 3 sets. Another recommendation is spend the money and get a really good mattress(best money I ever spent). I hope you can use any of this advice and it helps. In have shooting pain down my right leg all the way down in my foot. Numbness in my Lower back, in my nuts and groin area. Pain in my thighs, groin and out in my sommach. My ass hurts on and off too. All but the shooting pain down my leg and back pain is new shit that has come the last 2-3 weeks. This is not a fun thing at all! Right this moment i only have pain in my calf and Lower back, light pain. It comes and goes. Been better for a few days now tho.
Durrs
I almost forgot to add one of the most important things. Drink a TON of water. Like a gallon and a half minimum. Everyday.
Durrs
Yeah that shooting pain is your sciatic nerve being pinched. I had it so bad I couldn't sleep a few years ago. I'm sorry brother. The good news is this is not permanent. It can be corrected. I got nothing against doctors but you will have to do the real corrective shit yourself. Docs are good for meds and that's it.
