bwwm
Nice work! I have never even thought of doing those, and to be honest, with my coordination, I'd probably jam the axle in my grill if I tried it. I'd have to go light on it, for a few weeks. acorn
That was my first time trying them thumbless with the Axle. I had tried a couple workouts on the regular oly bar thumbless a few months back and thought they definitely had merit. Start light for sure. I think these have the potential to bump gripper closes up and I would be pretty impressed with 100Kg on the Axle thumbless. - Aaron
jvance
I do all kinds of oly stuff on the axle, don't think I've done DOT cleans but ill try it. Just a few days ago I was doing power cleans on the 2.5 inch bar to condition the wrists from the abuse that thing doles out. My 2" should feel pretty easy in comparison. I'll give these a shot tomorrow, my best DO hang clean on the axle was 200 from about a year ago, so hopefully I can DOT the same weight. jvance
Pulled off a 215 DOT axle hang clean. Surprised but i shouldnt be, been on a steady diet of snatches, cleans, and thrusters with every diameter handle between 2 and 3 inches since Gripmas. My best regular DO hang clean was 200 a while ago so this means i am quite a bit stronger on the axle... big thanks Aaron for the idea, love your creativity!
